WTF are Parents Raising these Days?

Tue Apr 11, 2006 12:33 pm

Sad story, similar to the Howard Beach case from 1986. Poor guy didn't stand a chance. I can't take these punkass teenage MFers, whether they're from the suburbs or the 'hood.

There use to be a day when kids were innocent. And now? They are cold blooded killers.

Tue Apr 11, 2006 12:59 pm

That's despicable. One wonders if they will truly pay for the crime given their age.

They could be chained up at the Target Center and be forced to watch T-wolves basketball. There would be some just punishment. :)

I like how JeffX put it in the title, "WTF are parents raising these days?" I've been starting to believe that a lot of the kids upbringings are largely due to how parents raise them.

sad story...your a teenager and you already try and organize how to rob somebody? damn you are messed.

"the good die young." thats one true statement, heres one example of it.

this guy went to my school. he was not a gangster or anything, was liked by everyone he knew. he was trying to be the peacemaker for a disagreement and he ended up being stabbed to death.[/url]

I thought Canada was supposed to be a safer country? :?

Teenagers = organized robbers.

I don't know if kids are getting dumber these days getting involved in crime or if they are getting smarter because they can plan an organized robbery.

...and the lack of positive male role models in some of these kids' lives.

......doesn't make a difference for sum....

If you had a positive male role model he would've taught you how to spell "some".

Kids nowadays don't respect their parents, they just go "You gotta raise me up, you wanted me to come outta ur tummy! Nothing's my fault, it's all your fault." (N)

That reminds me...I wonder which video game, television show, movie or song/artist will be made the scapegoat this time?

Tue Apr 11, 2006 9:38 pm

don't be suprised jeff, with underage parents who don't know how to raise children this isn't too suprising

The gang of five had sized up the slightly built Hehman as "an easy mark" - and at least one shouted "Get the white boy!" before chasing him into the path of a Mercedes-Benz about 8:30 p.m. on April 1, cops said.

just anther case of black kids picking on white kids. It really sucks.. u not safe on the streets if you white, chinese, indian, but if you black you safe..

Tue Apr 11, 2006 10:05 pm

Its soo sad :(
The world is going nuts.
Drugs are sometimes a large factor (N)

Marilyn Manson comes to mind.

Kidding aside, I watched a $200 education media DVD called "Tough Guise" and they talked about how masculinity and having to live up to it is a strong perpetuator of violence, which I agree with. As for being influenced in early socialization, parents (and role models) very damn well have a strong impact.

I'd say that statue of Britney giving birth. Because that was just revolting and angerprovocing.

Depends on where you go. Black folks aren't safe in certain areas, either. I wouldn't walk through Bensonhurst or Howard Beach.

yeah, I'd say a main thing is drugs and alcohol. Especially underage, which seemingly many people do.

"Relatives described the troubled teens as neighborhood buddies who played basketball together."

Basketball can lead to bad things. Or not.

shit, even in some black neighborhoods blacks aren't safe. think about my dad, he was killed because he was black. we lived in fucking bed-sty. i remember seeing like 4 white people in the 6 years i lived there.
