He also made the pass to Charlie Bell late in the 4th which led to Bell hitting a 3 and putting the game completely out of reach he's really picked it up in 2 of the last 3 games, he was pretty poor against Detroit but fantastic against Phoenix. I think he'll susprise alot of people in the play-offs.

^^ Thats if he gets plauing time in the playoffs. I'm just impressed with the fact that he's fit right into this team and is playing as a team player rather than one of those uber selfish guys who hogs the ball...

I play against Andrew Boguts cousin (apparently) in Friday night basketball

Not sure where the rumour came from, but he does look a little like him, is tall and can jump and block, so playing basketball runs in his veins.
I'll ask him if its true next time I see him, but until then its my claim to fame

Bogut did also live/play around where I play (Nunawading) until he moved down the road to Doncaster or Dandenong because Nunwading didnt think he was good enough.

Based on their physical similarites, as well as playing on the same courts that Bogut used to, its not that far-fetched that it could be true... I cant wait to ask him now

Great to see him play 38 minutes and turn out a performance like that. It's a shame some people seem to want to write him off as a bust already, when players like Kwame and Darko are still getting the benefit of the doubt.

It seems to come up every now and again amongst the fans, if not in the media.

That's strange, I don't think he'll be as good as some people think but he's definitely nowhere near a "bust". I think he can be a very solid centre, kind of like a Chris Kaman but a much better passer.

Alot of people get on the bust-bandwagon after he has a bad game, but that happens to most rookies not called Chris Paul.

Bogut's been playing better than I honestly believed he would. When he drafted I thought he would play like shit. He looked soft and just didnt really look like a legit NBA center but he shows alot of promise. If the Bucks werent in love with the long ball I think he would have had a much better year. Oh well.

Yeah, people see Bogut as a bust cause he didn't get minutes at one stage and he didn't get stats people though he would. What guys don't understand is that he does things more important than padding up the stat sheet and that's fitting into the team's system and helping them be the best team possible; they could be. It's great to see him succeed and hopefully the minutes will ocme in the play-offs. I'm sure guys like Jae will be waiting for another nifty no-look pass!

He did throw down a nice alley oop tonight, made the top 10 plays of the day. I don't think there's a rookie in the NBA who's made as many top 10/#1 plays of the day/week as Bogut. Villanueva would be close but Paul, Frye etc are nowhere near.

Probably not so long as Stotts is coaching the Bucks. I think he could be averaging around 16, 9 and 3 though. If he got an opportunity to do that next year, I think that might silence many of the critics.

He's been scoring at will in his last 3 games, but that's more down to his great shooting percentage as opposed to him being allowed to take shots. The most shots he's ever taken in a game is 14, and he's done that 5 games out of 80... for comparisons sake, Chris Mihm's season high is 15 and he's pretty much the 4th or 5th option on that team.

He's shooting 26/34 in his last three, around 74%. I can't wait to see what he does in the play-offs.

10rpg is a reasonable answer, but it also depends on who else is on the roster and what position & role he's asked to play.

Duncan is a supremely athletically talented player? He is better than Bogut, but an elite level athlete. If Brad Miller managed to pull down 10 rebounds per game for a whole season (and he didn't even start in some of those games), then Bogut can certainly do the same. I believe he's more fundamentally sound in than area than Miller and certainly has that athletic edge over him. I bet Bogut can catch Yao in every category numbers wise and even surpasses him in some (assists).

Bogut's rebounding has never been a problem. He's got good footwork in the low post and positions himself well. I always saw his offence as a wekaness so that's why I thought getting 20 points a night harder than grabbing 12 boards.

His rebounding is more mental than ability-based... at the start of the season he was consistantly pulling down 9-11 boards then he sort of lost it and recently has been doing nothing on the boards, and that's ignoring the fact that in the Bucks defensive system Bogut is often out away from the basket playing help D to compensate for the awful perimeter defenders.

yeah his rebounding has been a little disapointing. Could just be because the others are chipping in more? But i reckon your pretty much spot on Jae, he had a more aggressive approach to rebounding at the start of the season.
