at least gather up the courage and give a real middle finger
i didn't edit the title of the thread. Andrew? Jae? uh Pavel?
Sun Apr 02, 2006 11:44 am
I didn't edit it, I'm guessing it was Andrew. I figured it wasn't you since "Air Gordon" was in capitals. Andrew can't escape his perfect grammar.

You two sure have a way of monopolizing a thread.
Andrew and air gordon,
me being a 76ers fan, if I showed you my e-middle finger :
..|...will I be banned?

Nah. How will we effectively gloat if the Bulls catch up to the Sixers if you're not around?
Yeah I was the one edited it, the "Look who's winning again" didn't feel appropriate anymore.

Good one
Hinrich is taking over...
Bulls up 4 in 1 minute left.

Bulls won in a thriller.
Hinrich was senational.
Pierce shut down.
"Da Thruth," you can't handle the da thruth!

Well, they managed to take the Celtics game 100-94. If they can beat the Pacers the Philadelphia mini-series could well decide the outcome. A sweep there would guarantee the tiebreaker for the victor in addition to lifting them in the standings. The Sixers also play the Celtics in between the two Bulls games making the second game (in Chicago) the second night of a back to back. Perhaps there's an advantage there, though it's hard to tell this year.
Just a game the difference now.

Hinrich was indeed great today. Bulls fans should be thanking Doc Rivers and Wally 'zerbiack'. Zerbiack's elbow to Hinrich's face mid 4th quarter seemed to have lit a fire under Hinrich's ass. After that play, Hinrich scored easily on Zerbiack . For some reason, Doc Rivers kept Zerbiack on Hinrich and Hinrich proceeded to score 6 straight points, in turn swinging the momentum on the Bulls side. The Celts never recovered
Pacers lost again- now possibly the 7th and 8th spots are up for grabs
Sun Apr 02, 2006 7:03 pm
Caught the recap/highlights on SportsCenter, which of course don't tell the whole story but rather just showed Hinrich's fourth quarter barrage (which was still a nice highlight package to watch, knowing it led to victory

. Nice play by Chandler to keep it alive and get it back to Nocioni on Hinrich's miss during the final minute, good recovery to seal the win with Deng's free throws after the intentional.

I did and I am right now, in front of the monitor. If only you could see it.

The Bulls will catch up, then they'll choke and lose the spot.
The Bulls have these 3 amazing guards in Hinrich, Gordon, and Duhon. I don't expect all 3 of them will stay in Chicago. One of them will eventually leave, so who do you want to be gone?
Mon Apr 03, 2006 11:01 am
Hinrich, Gordon and Duhon? nobody will stay in Chicago... They will pull a blockbuster trade and get Lebron James in exchange of them 3
Mon Apr 03, 2006 12:31 pm
Yea, the bulls needs to get bigger.

They need to get LaMarcus Aldridge and then trade for a good Center

One doesn't necessarily have to leave, but if that must be so...jeez, I can't decide. Probably between Hinrich or Duhon, mad as it sounds.

Why would Cleveland do that?

Yes, but you can be sure that other teams are eyeing those players when their contracts are up so one of them will surely be gone, unless Chicago plans to build their franchise around those guards.
I'm having a tough time myself choosing which player. If I am given the choice, Hinrich would surely stay. It's a toss-up between Duhon or Gordon. *Fuck, my head hurts from thinking.*
Tue Apr 04, 2006 12:20 pm
Chris Duhon is signed through 2008 and I believe Gordon and Hinrich will have restricted free agent status if they don't work out extensions before then. If so, other teams can eye them all they want since if the Bulls want to keep them, they can just match the offer sheet.
Wed Apr 05, 2006 2:55 am
What if they do a Joe Johnson and ask the Bulls managment not to match the offer sheet?
Wed Apr 05, 2006 5:59 am
Gordon, in case you didn't see the story of the Pacers thread or whatever, I'll be behind the P's bench tonight in a white Jackson jersey. I don't know if you'll be there or not, but come by and say hi if you are.

OGM

The bulls pull out a shocker. The birthday boy was playing like Air Jordan hitting them clutch shots.
.5 games out! Plilli lost
Wed Apr 05, 2006 12:59 pm
Heh...and with the cavs setting the sixers back a notch...tommorow's game between iverson and ben gordon should be interesting.

shadowgrin wrote:What if they do a Joe Johnson and ask the Bulls managment not to match the offer sheet?
If it came to that, then perhaps they could work out a sign and trade, just as Phoenix did with Joe Johnson. I don't want to get Homerish and call Paxson a genius or anything like that, but given the job he's done so far I'd like to think he could make the best of the situation if one of them decides to leave...which won't be for another couple of years anyway.
But hey, if Isiah is still in New York, perhaps he can pry another unprotected lottery pick from them if he needs to do another sign-and-trade.
Anyway, Bulls keep things interesting today with the win. The Pacers' spot could be up for grabs too if they continue to slide but right now my highest expectations are to get ahead of Philly and stay ahead (or if need be, squeak out of a tie with a 3-1 season series) but I must confess I'm not sold on it happening. Don't get me wrong, I support them no matter what but with this team very little is guaranteed. Even big leads late in the game aren't a sure thing so what I'm hoping for isn't necessarily always what I expect.
Wed Apr 05, 2006 5:04 pm
these 2 next game vs. philly will determine the bulls season
win or go home!

shadowgrin wrote:What if they do a Joe Johnson and ask the Bulls managment not to match the offer sheet?
That probably won't happen because BG & Hinrich are key players for the Bulls.
The Joe Johnson situation happened because JJ was not considered critical to the Suns, so they didn't extend his contract and wanted him to get market value in free agency.
I don't blame either side. Johnson ISNT critical to the Suns...Amare, Nash, and Marion come before him. Johnson has a chance to play for a team that will build around him.

damn you bastards, stay out of Andrew's and my thread. hehe j/k...

nah man, didn't make the game. in fact i've been missing a lot of their games lately. been a bit busy. i've been tivo'ing most of their games
hope you enjoyed the game
if he continues to be an on and off starter, resigning Gordon will probably be a concern. Players coming off rookie contracts want to get that big, multiyear contract. his market value won't be high if he's not a full time starter.
anyway... Iverson has a gimpy ankle but i expect him to score 40pts tonite
