Alright guys week one is over, we've had 9 out of 10 submissions (everyone boo GOAT in unison) and thus ends the Michael Jordan phase. Now onto the good stuff...

HOW THE VOTING WORKS

You PM me with the following details for every matchup that you're not involved in. Example:

Matchup: Wankster vs nbalive744
Winner: nbalive744
Comments: Both sucked but I felt nbalive744 didn't do his by controlling the mouse with his tongue.

It's that simple. Try to get the votes in as quickly as you can so we can move on to next round.

Also, remember that if you're not in the sig league, you can't vote this way...

A big hand to all the participants, kickass to take the time to entertain fellow posters such as myself. Big ups to Jae aswell for organising it next to his (busy) school schedule, presentation was neat enough.

Ruff, you got my vote. That's just amazing. I'm at a loss of words.

Jugs, nice stuff, the humour was a nice bit, it added well. The facial expression is kickass but the line could've been wittier. The background is alright.

CK, very nice indeed, the background is top notch & the photo's used...top notch, but ofcourse.

Cable Guy - Too Lpasso'ish, nice, but I had the feeling of "been there, seen that".

Jae, probably the best background. Don't like the main pic a lot, but the background...

Axel, nice...creative way of trying to get brownie points...but the background/moon doesn't have the same effect as the other backgrounds do.

Peachy, the idea was nice but the sig seems of low quality for some reason.

Goat, you're the champion of my heart.

Null - impressive but...also that feeling of...seen that before.

Colin - Were you short on time?

Once again, thanks to all of you guys for making the sigs, they look amazing. Jae, thanks for setting this up.

Yeah it looks like the usual stuff because of the style and also because I just rehashed an old background I used on another sig with a little touchups I had a different idea but I didn't really come out well and I got frustrated

As for the voting, I'm going to pick CG for the polls. I like that style a lot. TBD's and Peachy's came close though

My winner: Cable Guy

I was stuck between Cable Guy and Peachy but his text didnt work with his pic. I like CG's piece because of the somewhat dramatic lighting and minimal range of colors. The only problem I had was that he was holding up 3 fingers yet he won 6 rings but I got over that since the picture fit in the theme of the overall sig better than I believed any later pic he coulda found would. Its just beautiful how the skin tone and his jersey blends together and really highlights the whole "chicago-bullsy" theme he has going. Very well composed and easy on the eyes. Also that little shiny highlight to the left gives me the feeling that, even if I didnt know this guy, he is one to be glorified. Nice choice(and placement) of text too.


All the other LOOOOSEEEERS!!!! kidding.

Jugs- coulda worked on the background more and that shadow doesnt seem to work well.

cklitsie- Nice attemp but the text falls short, probably coulda done without it since the overall piece says enough by itself. probably just a 23 and his signature coulda done enough but who am I to say.

Jae- Background is exquisite but the pic falls short.

Axel- very nice overall but I found the text has taken too much of a secondary role in the image. Maybe because of the placement cuz the background overpowers the 23.

The Black Death- Face just doesnt seem proportional so its hard for me to like.

Peachy- Very nice but the text falls flat on its face. It may be the size or placement of it. Very nice background and it makes the piece very unified (except text).

Null17- I like it but I cant say much more. Its in that inbetween range where theres nothing really wrong with it but its not spectacular/breathtaking enough visually to be excessively merited.

Colin- headed in the right direction but it seems to be lacking something I just cant put my finger on.

I havent been around long enough, or seen enough sigs, to have that feeling of "seen that before" like Jackal so I understand if you may disagree with what I say in my post.

Black Death, did you start with something that was drawn, or did you filter MJ to look like that.

I actually like what you made Colin. Especially the vine type thingies as the border. The effects/brushes on the pic not so much though. I guess people expected you to stick to the stuff they usually see

Colin, just because you don't get many votes doesn't mean it's not good. I REALLY like your sig, the style, creativity, but for me it's not the best sig in there.

I like CKs. So there goes the vote. It has a street feel to it, but that's not really Jordan like imo, but I like how it's done.
