Fast food

How many of you guys have worked at a fast food restraunt? My friends are bagging on me that I've already worked at two (McDonald's, Burger King) and most likely will be working at another (Wendy's) soon and I'm only 17. Many of them think it is just sad to work at fast food. What do you guys think?

You pretty much get minimum wage, if you get a little higher you are considered lucky. The work is pretty damn hard (even though it's pretty much brainless work, it's hard work) and there are a lot of injuries that occur in fast food restraunts. Plus, you have to work with minorities.

So, have any of you worked at fast food and know what it feels like? It's a drag, but I have to admit I kind of liked my McDonald's job. It's greasy, hard work, crappy pay and the people piss you off but for some reason I just liked it. I still think everyone should experience working at a fast food restraunt because of the stress and work you must put into it.

I know it's kind of a random post that is jumping back and forth but what do you guys think?

yeah.. i've worked at mcdonalds cause my best friend worked there... made minimum wage for about half a year then quit cause the head manager was a bitch.

working in mcdonalds, you really get to know what the shit you're eating, though you get a little satifaction in making the food, and its pretty fun when the customer is a bitch and you're fuckin them over. and we stole lots of food too..

another funny thing is that at the one i worked at there are like 5 really tiny, like under 5 feet, spanish ladies, and they have the same names, and one of them fell into the washer. good shit.

it was an expeience, but i aint going back. hells no. it is pretty sad when you tell people you've worked at a mcdonalds, even if it is for some quick cash

I don't really like people bagging others for the work they do, I mean a job's a job. That being said, I'd never work in a fast food place or a supermarket... not because I think they're "below" me or anything, I just don't think I'd like that kind of work.

McDonald's was twenty times better than Burger King...and I'm hoping Wendy's is pretty decent, too.

Actually, a lot accidents happen at fast food restraunts. I mean, you are dealing with EXTREMELY hot grease and grills...things happen. But the biggest safety concern is grease.

yeah its not as safe cause you got the grills and stuff. i got cut on day on my finger through my glove and it wouldnt stop bleeding and shit.

though once you work there, i think you dont wanna eat there anymore, cause you know all the shit that goes into those things

I worked in a supermarket....was great fun....was so easy, no supervision, long breaks, cruisy work, was good....wouldn't want to work there if it wasn't a high school/college job though....

as for fast food place, for the crap money you get you're always working hard & on your feet, so I would avoid it....then again I avoided jobs where I would have to serve people like waiters etc

yep, Wendy's are good....I had some in Auckland once before, but had some more when I was over there last December....love the $1 menu they have there

I'd take Wendy's Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger over anything McDonald's has (except for the McChicken sandwich)

As for fast food restaurants. I got turned down for a McDonald's interview when I was 14. Those bastards better be sorry since I spent last summer working at a large engineering company. Too bad it was only temporary, and now I gotta find a good job this summer
