first of all you have only 25 posts, and we only have spots for guys who've been at nlsc a while and have contributed to the community, whether it be patching (mikki, dahl, dragon), admining (dahl), or just being great personalities/fuckin crazy bitches (sit, jugs, drex).
perhaps if you do more and dont post in bold and stop sounding like a moron we can reconsider...

The Flood of Free Agent: Their Height Makes Me Feel Like Yao Ming: Part 1
By Jing Xu, Associated Press Writer
October 6, 2005

OAKLAND, CA (AP) – Flo Ruf was signed to the New York Knicks, as GM Isaiah Thomas told press two days ago. Ruf is a native of Germany and is a 6’1 point guard, and he comes onto a team who already has two point guards with egos bigger than the city of New York. Rumors have it that Ruf is an extremely fast player who plays extremely selflessly. He is the definition of a pure point guard, pass first, defend second, and score last; when he does shoot though he is extremely sharp. Playing for his club team in Munich, Ruf continuously ran circles around his opponents and drained three-pointers over their outstretched arms. Coming into New York he’ll probably be put on the injured reserve list to work on his strength, which is next to none at the moment. This pickup is strange, and perhaps will not improve Ruf’s confidence, as he might not get the minutes he want playing behind Francis and Marbury.

At the time the Knicks announced the signing of Flo Ruf, Nets GM John Nash was in the process of his own press conference, presenting to the press Pilipino point guard Joseph Pedrjas. Pedrjas’ size does not reflect his skills however as he has a NBA body and surprisingly good at rebounding. Back in the Philippines he played his college ball at Jose Rizal University as a shooting guard due to their point guard being only five feet tall. In the NBA however Pedrjas will have to shift to playing the point. Like the Knicks, the Nets also have several guards already before Pedrjas, however the Knick’s present guards are selfish while the Nets have former all star Jason Kidd to properly mentor the 22 year old Pedrjas to a good point guard. A good pickup for the Nets as Jason Kidd is showing signs of age.

At 9 PM CST two days ago, Minnesota Coach Kevin McHale told announced the signing of Portland native Stephen Malfa. This brought questions to the press as Malfa is known as a problem player who has been kicked out of several high school teams for drinking, drugs, and fighting. He is most known for putting a referee in the hospital after a foul called on him. Finally, after many hours of rehab, Malfa seemed to be cured of his fouls. Turning his life around and focusing solely on basketball, Malfa has bloomed into a superb combo guard. His playing style is similar to that of Flo Ruf; Malfa made passing a passion and an art. During on game, McHale said, he say Malfa put the ball through an opponent’s leg twice before the kid realized what happened, and the next thing he was lying on the ground while watching Stephen lay the ball in. His quickness and eagerness to pass should help the Wolves, who have had guard troubles in the past, overall this is a very good move by the Timberwolves.

Yesterday during the early news on ESPN, the station ran a live broadcast coming from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was of a press conference with Sixers GM Billy King, coach Maurice Cheeks, and point guard Allen Iverson welcoming a youngster from Denver, Ivan Shchipansky onto the team. I.S., as Iverson is calling him, originally hails from Moscow Russia, but is currently residing in Denver, Colorado. Surprisingly the amount of small players who can score in the paint have greatly increased as I.S. is a great rebounder at only 5’2. In his last season he averaged a triple-double, 12.4 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 12.5 assists on his way to Colorado player of the year honors. To go along with his amazing rebounding skills, Shchipansky is also an amazingly tough person. He was rumored to also have played linebacker for a year before switching full time to basketball. Playing alongside Allen Iverson will greatly improve his foot speed and with sharp shooter Kyle Korver on his side, he can refine his shooting as well. This was a good pickup for the Sixers as they are looking ahead to the future.

At 9 PM WST while the rest of the east coach sleeps, The Maloof brothers personally greeted guard Mark Negone on behalf of the whole Sacramento King’s organization. Negone, a freshman from the University of Texas is a white person with blonde/brunette hair, but by looking at him you would never guess him to be anything but a suburban American boy. However Negone is a Chinese citizen as he was born in Hong Kong, China. Negone will be the first white player born in China to play in the NBA. Though not relatively tall he should learn well from Mike Bibby, and he already has the makings of another Peja as he brought the Chinese art of shooting back with him. One thing the Chinese players pride themselves in is their excellence in fundamentals, and Negone has that too. His style is straight from the textbook, with no flashy moves, but it gets the job done. However he does have trouble getting off the floor and his lateral quickness is not good enough to warrant him a spot in on the 12-man roster, but that’s what veterans like Bibby are for. A good pickup for the future for the Kings, if he improves the way they want him to and not get spoiled by the riches of the NBA life.

The first Estonian player in the NBA was signed by the Seattle Super Sonics only several hours ago, his name was Evert Tali. Tali’s height was not disclosed, but he was rumored to be around 6 feet and will play as a shooting guard. Tall is also rumored to be the most handsome person to ever set foot in the NBA, though others like Dwyane Wade would beg to differ. Also not much was disclosed by the Sonics about Tali’s skills, but in his short workout the press could see that Tall has some abilities in shooting and driving to the hoop. Playing with Ray Allen will help Tali’s shooting tremendously as Allen’s has more or less perfected the quick release and flick on his jump shot.

Finally.
Great writing.
he brought the Chinese art of shooting back with him
If the Chinese guards can shoot, then I'm a 1000% three-point shooter.
