Pacers hand the Bobcats 11th straight loss

Indiana Pacers | Charlotte Bobcats
Charlotte, NC (Ticker) Jermaine O'Neal scored 25 points, grabbed 13 boards and dished out 10 assists for a triple double to lead his team to their 3rd straight victory against the struggling Bobcats. The first half was where most of the damage was done as the Pacers continued their wonderful play in the past week. Jermaine O'Neal did most of his scoring in the first half, as well as a few nice dishes. His numbers slowly went up through out the game and he managed to stay energetic enough to get that triple double.
The third quarter saw the Pacers continue their dominance as rookie Danny Granger scored 9 of his 11 points in this quarter. The fourth quarter saw the Pacers take their foot off the peddle and slowly just finished the game with a nice 113-91 score line. Player of the game was unquestionably Jermaine O'Neal with the triple double and also 2 steals and blocks.

The Pacers are now above the 10 win mark with this outstanding display. The Bobcats now have 11 losses.
Portland Trailblazers star injured

Portland Trailblazers star, Zach Randolph, has been struck down with a sprained toe in a win against the Memphis Grizzlies and will miss up to 2 weeks with the injury. Well, since no one is giving you any replies, I thought I might make one short trip back to the dynasty section.
10-4 isn't too bad, especially since the Pacers aren't really playing as well in real life.
I hope Danny Granger and Gooden can hopefully give you something productive; they're probably my favourite players on your team.
Give Devin Harrison more playing time as well.
Other than that, I see you're format has really improved and the play of the day is pretty awesome.

Pacers release Samaki Walker
December 7th, 2005
Today, the Indiana Pacers have released journeyman Samaki Walker. He was signed in the offseason to a one year deal but hasn't seen any playing time so far this season. The players didn't seem to be affected by the roster change as he hasn't been affecting anyone's playing time. Hopefully some other team needs his duties.

Indianapolis, IN (Ticker) Jermaine O'Neal and Ron Artest combined for 47 points, 19 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks as both players led their team to an 125-89 win against the struggling Seattle Supersonics. The first half was a fastbreak, high-scoring affair as the Pacers managed to score 70 points, 39 in the 2nd quarter, at half time. Ron Artest was taking a lot more shots, but was scoring well, even rebounded well to set-up the offensive play again or the fast break.
The second half saw the lead be increased even further as Jermaine O'Neal and Stephen Jackson brought their skills to the table and combined for 30 second half points. The fourth quarter was just basically a resting period but they still pushed to increase the lead. The Pacers finished the game with 6 players with 3+ assists. The Pacers showed how good they are at sharing the ball. Player of the game was Jermaine O'Neal who's in top form, he scored 29 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.

Tracy McGrady is ready to return, but not 100%

Tracy McGrady has proven his fitness and will be returning to the Houston Rockets starting line-up. The Rockets have only lost 1 game this season and McGrady has been behind most of the early success. Tracy McGrady will be carrying a soreness in the ankles but should be 100% in six days.

Indianapolis, IN (Ticker) The game went down to wire, even though the previous 47 minutes was full blown scoring, the Pacers' final minute defence won them the game. The First half saw both teams scoring 60+ points each, both teams just were on fire, barely any defence. The Pacers prevailed in the half, 69 to 60. Both teams had a starter struggling throughout the game, Troy Murphy and Sarunas Jasikevicius seemed to go missing scoring wise but did other intangibles to keep themselves contributing.
The 3rd quarter saw the Warriors and Pacers slump scoring wise, and the Warriors managed to finish the quarter behind by only a single point. Both Drew Gooden and Mike Dunleavy were grabbing the loose balls from the missed shots in the quarter, they both ended the game with double-doubles. The fourth quarter saw an even more slump on the offensive end, as both teams decided to go defensively to try and win the game. Towards the end of the game, many errors were made at both ends of the court. The Warriors had 3 shots inside the paint to tie the game, but Biedrins and Diogu kept missing those shots and Stephen Jackson grabbed the rebound. Then the Pacers had 30 seconds to waste with a 2 point lead but didn't score at all which gave the Warriors a chance for the win. That chance was blown with a backcourt violation due to great defence by the Pacers. Jasikevicius scored 2 free throws and that was the end of the game. The Pacers won, 107-103. Player of the game was Jermaine O'Neal once again, with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Baron Davis scored 39 points for his team.

Barbosa breaks bone in foot, out for 9 weeks

Phoenix Suns point guard, Leandrinho Barbosa, was struck down in his match against the Denver Nuggets and severly injured his right foot. Doctors have confirmed that he'll have to sit out for at least 9 weeks with the injury. This is the Suns' second injury, Kurt Thomas broke his toe 12 days ago but is set to return in the next few days.

The 3rd weekly power rankings of the year from nba.com have been posted.
Houston and Detroit stayed 1 and 2 but Detroit have the better record now. Indiana moved down a spot despite going undefeated the whole week and Miami lost 2 straight. Portland also moved up, despite losing Zach Randolph. New Jersey, Phoenix and Dallas were all big movers as they have gone on winning streaks. Charlotte were the big losers but they did manage to finally win their first game since their season opening win.

Andres Nocioni injured, out for 10 days

Sophomore Andres Nocioni, who's having a great year for the Bulls, has been struck down by an elbow from Chris Bosh which resulted in a bad landing which caused bone spurs in his foot. He'll have to miss at least 10 days to recover from the injury. Michael Sweetney will replace him in the starting line-up.

The first half was a total blow out, which saw the Pacers go ahead 57-31 at half time. Al Harrington was leading scorer for his team with only 8 points. Ron Artest had produced 17 points by half time. The Hawks only shot a meere 22% from the field, including 0-7 from 3.
The second half saw the Hawks redeem themselves but it was way too little, way too late. Al Harrington, Joe Johnson and Tyronn Lue did well in that second half but the Pacers already had this game in the bag, winning 95-79. Player of the game was Jermaine O'Neal, even though he only produced 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but also 5 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks. Ron Artest scored 28 points and Drew Gooden scored 20 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and 2 blocks. Al Harrington scored 20 points and pulled down 14 boards, 6 offensive rebounds.

Thanks yeah EA is crazy. About the .gif, i'd rather just keep the video linked so its an option to view it, because of 56kers.

Indianapolis, IN (Ticker) Sarunas Jasikevicius had a monster game, his first NBA double-double with 21 points and 11 assists as he led his team to a hard fought 106-98 victory against the Dallas Mavericks. The first half saw some great defence and offensive plays by both teams. The Mavericks did struggle a bit as some of their players were getting themselves into foul trouble. The Pacers were getting outrebounded but that didn't stop the Pacers from having a 53-47 lead at half time.
The third quarter saw the Pacers extend that tiny lead slightly as they were looking like the stronger team. Sarunas Jasikevicius was setting up everybody for the shot and easy lay-up. It was about time that Sarunas Jasikevicius lived up to the hype, but he has been playing solidly. The final quarter saw the Mavericks make a push for the lead, getting as close as 3 points. Devin Harris went up for a lay-up and got bumped by Fred Jones and hurt is shoulder but he was cleared from any major injury. The Mavericks looked to have control of the game but some great clutch play by Ron Artest, including a clutch 3, prevented the Mavericks from winning the game. The Pacers took this game 106-98. Player of the game was of course Sarunas Jasikevicius with 21 points and 11 assists, as well as 4 rebounds, a steal and a block . Ron Artest scored 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds and Jermaine O'Neal had an off game with only 19 points and 7 rebounds. Erick Dampier scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Josh Howard scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Indianapolis, IN (Ticker) This game went down to the final minute of the game and Brian Cardinal was given the ball and came up with the goods to help his team win tonight. The first quarter was total dominance for the Pacers as they were playing very efficiently on offence, out scoring the Grizzlies 38-24. The 2nd quarter saw no change of the lead, in fact, at half time, the deficit remained the same. The Pacers scoring was evened out as all 5 started were around the 8-12 points mark.
The second half so the Grizzlies wake up with a roar and work their butts off to try and grab the lead back. They slowly got back during the 3rd quarter, reducing the deficit by 7 points at the break. The fourth quarter saw them make an even harder push for the victory. The Pacers were shooting well but they slipped and let the Grizzlies take the lead. In the final two minutes, the Pacers managed to make a push for the lead, they managed to have a 2 point lead and Jermaine O'Neal got 2 free throws. Jermaine O'Neal missed both free throws and it was the Grizzlies' possession. The Grizzlies were moving around quickly and they saw Brian Cardinal open at the 3 point line, he jacked up the shot and bam, in, 1 point lead. 7 seconds was left in the game, the ball was given to Jermaine O'Neal in the post, but he got bumped, missed the shot. Rick Carlisle was calling foul but no foul call as the Grizzlies took this game 118-117. Player of the game was Damon Stoudamire with 27 points and 8 assists. Eddie Jones scored 22 points off the bench. Jermaine O'Neal scored 21 points and grabbed 11 boards and Stephen Jackson went 4 from 4 at the three point line for 18 points.

Zach Randolph set to return from injury

The Portland Trailblazers' star Zach Randolph has recovered from his toe injury and is set to return to the starting line-up of his team. He still isn't quite 100% but will be in around 5 days. The Trailblazers have lost 4 games in a row without their star who's been averaging around 30 points per game.
Kirk Hinrich out for 12 days

The Chicago Bulls aren't having a very strong season and this will hurt them more as their star point guard, Kirk Hinrich was injured today. His strained shoulder will take around 12 days to heal. Chris Duhon will be starting Point Guard and Jannero Pargo will be his back up.

The top 7 stayed put but many could argue that the Rockets should fall, as they've lost 3 of the past 4 games. The Pistons continue their dominance with 15 wins in a row. Atlanta have been struggling heaps lately too and they should drop. The biggest movers were Minnesota, Utah and New Jersey as they have been on winning streaks, especially Utah as number 1 MVP candidate Andrei Kirilenko is now converting his beautiful play into wins. The biggest losers were the Lakers and the Bucks as both teams are having poor seasons once again.
