Peachy's Thread - Sig!

My tip would be to use the polygonal lasso. You have put a all black layer behind the picture you're cutting so you can see whether there are any light pixels around it that should be cut, then invert the black layer to white and see if there's any dark pixels around it that should be cut.

Seems like the sig needs something more to it. The cut is kinda bad on Kobe too, use the pen tool.

The Baron one looks good. Baron is too blurry, and I suggest putting the 'Davis' somewhere below 'Baron' so it doesn't read as Davis Baron.

Foo Fighters one isn't that good. The right side gets very empty and reveals that you've done a pixel strech. I HATE pixel streches. The rest of that background is alright, but the text isn't placed well. I'd move the picture of...the Foo Fighter. roughly over where 'In Your Honour' is, crop out the right side, and move the text down. Or maybe try something along the neck of the guitar?

Black and white picture with colour background for Wade doesn't work very well. And there's too much pink and 'the future' looks pretty bad.

Nice work overall.

Baron looks ok, but I dont like the effect on Wade. The foo fighters one is too blurry of a picture.

1) Im scrapping the wade one, i hate it.
The foo fighters one, ive beenplaying around with transparency and some stuff i havent tried before and its looking fair nice. Any text ideas? On another text, not the placement.

The Baron one, i loved the outcome i'll fix up the davis placement then its done.

Btw, a few more if you dont mind.These were a while ago, i have a saved psd for everything i make so i can pretty much change anything.



This was going to be my entry as i was feeling lasy about making a whole new sig but i scrapped it.

The Jason Richardson one is cool My only gripe is that it looks like alot of other sigs at WCR... I'm not a fan of people just trying to rip the WCR style, but the rest of yours tend to avoid that. You're progressing really quickly.

I dont really try to copy stuff totally but i do admit if i see something i really like ill try to emulate it or copy some parts of what i like. For example the fire kinda effect thing of a person in flames was from Colin. and the text was in Cable's Morris Peterson sig.

I have been trying to adapt to my own style, eg the Jordan, Marion, Telfair so i hope my own style sticks soon.

I don't think you're copying, it's not noticeable, the Baron/Richardson sigs look very very familiar but your others are fairly unique.

Comments etc appreciated. Jae, i want to try something new but i've kind of adapted to this new style. Anyways, i'll try something new next sig/wall..i've got a pretty good idea.

They are both awesome sigs, but the background looks the same (with different colours etc.) IMO

I dont think they're exactly the same, but similar definitely. The reason is because I really like the style but as i said, ill switch it up for my next sig.

Yeah, don't get me wrong they both look and are awesome, just maybe abit too repetitive.

Oh that Hughes pic in the wall kicks ass, but the actuall wall is a bit too bright for my liking.
