I remember that too, and with events like that in mind it's hard to completely blame Larry Brown. However, I still think it was a mistake on his part to reject a meeting with Ariza. If he's not willing to give his players the time of day it's not entirely their fault if they're tuning him out.

The entire blame can't be put on Brown , but him changing the line-up every other game isn't to smart either. Not one player is going to play all 82 games for the team this team , not ONE. I feel like next year Larry Brown is going to be more stable with the same starting line-up and the guys will get to like him more , but this year , :| is all I have to say.

Knicks are a joke and I wouldn't give anyone besides Frye more than a MLE. I mean, I really, really can't understand guys at Slam, who are still dazzled by Crawford/Francis/Q/Rose/Marbury's mad skillz. THEY ARE LOSERS. CANCERS. And I think Nate is gonna end up the same. He isn't Arenas-like eccentric. Just crazy egomaniac like the rest of that silly roster.

Thats Michael Ray Richardson in that pic.

An ex-Knick who came in the NBA in the late 70s/early 80s and coulda have been a Superstars player if not for his drug problem.

And as for the current Knicks team, I'd put most of the blame on Isiah. He obviously hasn't put a team out there that can coach.

2nd most, I'd put the blame on the players for not being coachable. The teams full of a bunch of slackers and idiots with no NBA IQ whatsoever(see Jamal Crawford). The players that already are going to make their money with their big contracts don't have any real incentive either(Curry, Marbury, Rose, etc.)

I'd also put blame on Larry Brown for not being more adabtable. I think the players the Knicks are made up of now would be more suited to a run and gun type game. Not the slow it down game they've been playing.

According to Jim Dolan, Isiah's not going anywhere. So this franchise is officially dead - kudos to everyone involved. Wake me when we get a new owner & GM.

As John WB already said, that's Micheal Ray (yes, spelling is correct). The sequence 'The ship be sinking' is legendary while it led to a exchange with a reporter:

o REPORTER: What do you think is happening to the team?
o RICHARDSON: The ship be sinking.
o REPORTER: How far can it sink?
o RICHARDSON: Sky's the limit.

I personaly think that's it's a proper way of describing the state of this team.

Where's your team spirit Jeffx, as written in the article:

I hate the Knicks. They traded away Trevor Ariza. The only Knicks I'm alright with are Frye and Woods now. Even worse, they traded him for that faggot Francis. :x

There goes my theory of Thomas losing his job if the Knicks win the lottery.

If Chicago gets the first pick, do you think they really need it. They have a nice young core already, do they need to add more? Or will they build up all these young potential players and then trade them for KG :o

They need more size, preferably some with talent. With the Knicks pick likely to be at least a top five selection, that will help. That, along with the cap space they'll be getting will allow them to get better without even breaking up their core. They perhaps don't need it, but it makes a promising situation even better.

The Knicks might be able to swing some Draft day deals though. Even if their roster won't mesh, they still have talent to shop. For example, a lottery team might be tempted to give up a top ten pick if they can get a Steve Francis in return. But if they sit tight, this year's Draft obviously isn't going to do them as much good as it could. They've got the 19th and 28th picks but you don't have to be a genius to figure out that such a tradeoff - historically speaking - won't work out for the best.

The Bulls or Knicks have the 19th and 28th pick?

Andrew, now you see why I've been screaming about Dolan the past few years. Thanks to him, this team is a laughingstock around the league. He makes Scott Sterling look like a genius. Here's more nonsense from Dolan:

All these losses and what really sucks about it is we don't even have the lottery to look forward to.

You know what's worse, JWB? Dolan's putting this franchise in Isiah's hands for the next several years.

I'm hoping he'd fire him after the draft.

I bet Isiah probably doesn't even know they don't have the lotto pick. You can imagine him going into work every day like "Another loss? Who cares, that Adam Morrison is great!'

He's actually planning to trade NY's first rounders for 08, 09 and 10 to get his 06 pick back.

I get depressed just thinking about the Knicks cuz I used to cheer for them way back in the day.

@Jae- Maybe Adam Morrison will do what Eli Manning did and refuse to play for the Knicks.

Why do the Knicks wait till now to play good? I like the way they are playing now against the Bulls , but still not enough D , but it does look like they are playing with passion , keep it up Knicks .

Q IS ON FUCKING FIRE IN THE THIRD . I'm liking what I see , but its too late . :(

That's can't be real unless Isiah Thomas is really dumb. Wait. He traded for Steve Francis? Oh.

The 06 draft class is supposedly weak anyway, he might as well try his luck on a better draft class.

Did I mention how awesome Qyntel Woods was?
