ive lived in the usa all my life so i just learned it from school and parents

Tue Feb 21, 2006 7:27 am

I'm sort of surprised that people outside the US seem to write English way better than some of the gangsters that live in the US.

u no whut i meen?

Tue Feb 21, 2006 7:28 am

That's because in other countries , people are taught to write proper English , and people here refuse to write properly because it's not "cool" enough .

Translation for those people who can't understand ....

"I once live in miami when I was 3 I came to Chile . I'm in a school that shows english , and as a kid I learned English in this school . I always read books in English" - Jona the god .

I guess I got it close enough

Yeah, that's pretty much it.
Good Spanish man! (Y)

I learned english by looking through a dictionary on the flight iover to the US.

Learned english whenI first came here to Canada, Mostly watching cartoons and shows that were shown in the country I came from, so the speech was kind of the same (jsut different language) so translating those shows wasn't hard.

Yep, I'm fluent in ASL (American Sign Language). Thanks to that, I don't need to take French.

can you really do that for the language test in high school?????

Tue Feb 21, 2006 10:17 am

I learned from wolves who migrated to Russia just to teach me.

Besides that, I'm fluent in French too, thanks to French immersion at school. And don't tell me that Euros have better grammar than moi :P

More or less  Naw, it's just basically sign language that's used in North America. There's different kinds of sign languages being used in other countries.

I didn't have to take a language exam. They just said if I have a second language, I don't need to take French.

Cyanide , I'm sorry to bring it up , but all those jokes Legend used to say about banging your mom seem 100 times more fucked up now.

LMAO

That was amazing.

Anyways, English is my native tongue. And I "speak" Spanish. By "speak" I mean I know a few choice words and learned all about the classroom objects in class. I don't think I'll ever have to use la mochilla or la regla ever again. Either way I'm good to go with 'hola', 'gracias', and 'dos cervezas por favor.'

Tue Feb 21, 2006 11:44 am

I can't even speak english. I have a translater sitting next to me for every one of my posts.

What's reason #1?

"La regla" is slang for PMS.

Tue Feb 21, 2006 12:07 pm

Yeah, we could make sigs together.

Actually reason #1 is that my girlfriend's desperate to move there. Though I'm hoping that's not because Colin lives there.

You know, there's a Simpsons reference I'm itching to make. But I'll exercise restraint for once.

I'm always impressed by how fluently from non-English speaking countries speak English...or can type it anyway. It's a skill that we folks in English speaking countries don't have...or perhaps it's just ignorance/arrogance on our part.
