(AP) Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Cavaliers has made their first move by sending newly acquired Larry Hughes, 2nd year player Anderson Varejao of Brazil, and their 2nd Rd Pick Martynas Andriuskevicius of Lithuania. In return, the Magic send last year's top pick Dwight Howard, Pat Garrity, and returning center Tony Battie. The Cavs needed more shooting and young talent in Howard and Garrity while trade speculations roam around Battie once again. No staff were available for comment due to other Trade Talks.

Cleveland Cavaliers send:
C Tony Battie
C Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Charlotte Bobcats send:
PF Emeka Okafor
PG Kevin Burleson(AP) Charlotte, NC -- Once again, the Cleveland Cavaliers new management made a move for the upcoming season. After acquiring top pick Dwight Howard of last year's draft, the 2nd overall of the previous draft was sent packing to the Birthplace of Rock n' Roll. Together with Emeka Okafor was Kevin Burleson. In exchange, the Cavs trade veteran All-Star Zydrunas Ilgauskas and newly acquired Tony Battie who was in trade speculations within the day. Battie was traded twice in a day. "I'm very happy I got traded right away since I know that Cleveland wasn't the right place for me. I've been there and it didn't click.", said Battie. Meanwhile, Zydrunas Ilgauskas said "Finally, I get out of Cleveland. Been here for years and all I had was foot injuries. Good luck to LeBron and the team.". On the other hand, Emeka Okafor was happy with the deal since it would be the first time that he would team up with Dwight Howard, second with LeBron (1st was at the 2004 Olympics at Athens).

Looking real good so far

They'll be real dangerous with Emeka and Dwight on the team now.
Trading away Ilgauskas wasn't my favourite move, but since you get such a good, young talent in return, it works pretty good...

But it still makes me a sad panda to see him leave

Well, I would've traded Drew to Orlando instead of Hughes but I wouldn't wanna have an 'All-star' team, nah mean. I might get a scoring SG though. Gooden & Snow are on the block. Thanks for the comments!

Staff Signing; October 2005

(Left) Desmond Jackson, Assistant Coach
(Right, no image available yet) Xu Jing, Team Trainer
(AP) Cleveland, OH - New Trainer and Assistant Coach werre named by the Cavaliers Administration earlier today. Desmond Jackson of Memphis, TN and Xu Jing were hired by General Manager Mikki Dela Rea to be the team's new Trainer and Assistant Coach. "Since Memphis ditched me, the Cavs gave me a chance and I'm here to prove that I can be the best and someday be the Head Coach of this ballclub, Y'nah mean." said Jackson. Takayama added, "Ching Chang Chong...". Though Jing, who is originally from China, needs some English Tutoring, it doesn't hinder him from being a top-notch Trainer whose expertise lie on the Offensive side.

Cleveland @ Milwaukee; Preseason Game(AP) Milwaukee, WI - Newly acquired sophomores Dwight Howard & Emeka Okafor of the Cleveland Cavaliers immediately made an impact on the team's game. Cavaliers win against Milwaukee with a score of 112-106. Okafor scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. He also blocked 4 shots. Meanwhile, Dwight Howard, who was acquired from Orlando for Larry Hughes, had 9 points and 12 rebounds. His Cavalier debut was spoiled by a late 4th Quarter ankle injury that made him sit out the rest of the game. Meanwhile, 20-year old phenom LeBron James had 26 points and 6 assists. Milwaukee shot a woeful 38%; Cleveland, 44%. The Bucks' leader Michael Redd was ice cold in the first half but made a run at the second making 6 of 8. 3-3 from 3-point range. The Cavaliers are still waiting for their New Practice Court (beside the Quicken Loans Arena) to be finished by Team Engineer Andreas Dahl.[BoxScore] (Unavailable)

LeBron James jacks up the Highlight Reel with a lot of moves including these facials against last year's MIP Bobby Simmons and Toni Kukoc.

(Left) Emeka Okafor and Dwight Howard seemed to gel pretty fast during the preseason game at Milwaukee. (Right) LeBron James with
another 'in your face' jam on Kukoc.

(Left) Howard, who sprained his left ankle during the 3rd Quarter, grabbed 12 rebs on his debut for Cleveland. (Right) LeBron James jacking a
shot against Milwaukee's Michael Redd and TJ Ford. James went 11-18 from the field.

Cleveland Cavaliers send:

PF Donyell Marshall
SF Luke Jackson
Minnesota TimberWolves send:

SG Ricky Davis
SF Richie Frahm
(AP) Minneapolis, MN - After trade demands from recently acquired Ricky Davis, the Minnesota Timberwolves finally trade him. Recently, Davis has been disgruntled over his role at Minnesota having 4 DNPs at Preseason games. He also had some talks with the T-Wolves' main man Kevin Garnett. "I ain't gonna play for Minnesota. McHale and KG can kiss me goodbye, y'nah mean.", shouted Davis. In exchange, Minnesota gets size from veteran Donyell Marshall and spot up shooter Luke Jackson. The trade also shipped Richie Frahm away from the Timberwolves together with Davis. Davis, who will get his second stint at Cleveland, has averaged 2.1ppg and was also limited to 5mpg in the Wolves' 7 preseason games. "I'm happy to play with Rick again. Definetely. I hate to see him go before but now he's back.", LeBron James when asked how he felt about the being reunited with Davis.
