Well..im sure it's only a temporary story arc. Also, aside from how ugly the costume is....i dont see anything wrong with something new and different. It should help keep old comic fans like myself interested.

heh interesting

wow, that outfit is ugly

I isnt that ugly, its just how the artist presented the drawing. Its just a quicky sketch to show you what to expect.

They just freaking relaunched the entire spidey line like 3 years ago... and they have Ultimate to keep things fresh... why is this necessary? *sigh*

oh dear lord..

I'm sure it's only temporary. He had quite a few costumes in the past, but I doubt this is 'permanent'. As for the design and colors, I like it a lot.
Edit: changed 'temporary' to 'permanent'

Cy, you confused me there.
I'm sure it's only temporary.
Ok, you're sure it's temporary.
but I doubt this is temporary.
But...but...you were sure 8 or 9 words ago!
I think they're trying to go black widow style.

I totally agree. Creativity rules. That's why I'm getting interested in some DC vertigo stuff. Fables got my attention. Looking for Vol.1

I think he looks alright, it doesn't have any of its original flair to it, but I think it look decent.
Maybe I'm just not that big of a comic book fan to care.

Does anyone really follow all the comics and all those alternate storylines and what not? I don't like how the comic industry never is willing to really finish anything. They have to keep drolling out their pathetic storylines forever, or make a new storyline. It's not like most manga where they usually have an end, even if it goes on for a long time. (Pokemon would be the exception I guess. That thing never ends.)

I don't think any major comic-book fan would want Spiderman to end. Besides, I think the comic book industry wouldn't want to stop a good thing if it's making them good money.

Well it's like this.
I didn't want Dragonball (back when the mangas were released...so it's a long time ago) or Slam Dunk to end but they ended. And honestly their endings made them even more memorable. However, Spider-man, X-men and the rest never end. They keep on going forever. It's like if they kept on showing Friends or Seinfeld until they were old as hell. It's a lot like the Simpsons and why it's getting boring. They keep on making one after the other without any end, making plothole after plothole. (Like Wolverine's back story..I mean, how long are they going to churn that thing?) Remember when Superman died? That is probably the most memorable issue of Superman ever...until they decided to bring him back. (I believe even Batman says "the only important thing Superman has ever done was dying" or something like that.) I doubt the comic industry will change, but it's annoying to see so many storylines that end up being nothing at all. Which is why I don't read comics anymore.

Watch out, Andrew might ban your ass for saying that
I know what you mean about the repetition and continuous storyline that never seems to change. I don't follow comics anymore simply because I've outgrown it and it's too expensive these days. I'm sure they're doing it for money. Spiderman, Batman and Superman are popular as hell, and there's no way the industry will let them die and try to come up with a new superhero that may otherwise never be as popular. I agree with your points, though.

Sorry for reviving the thread, but I got a pretty specific question for Jeffx. I haven't found a lot, but where can I find info (or what can you tell me) about the Marvel character Exodus?

And what is Cival War? I keep seeing it in the stories, and am perplexed.
