Houston, TX, Nov. 17 – Houston Rockets lost their game against Memphis as they played for the second time in front of their home crowd. It was an evenly match game but eventually the hard-working Grizzlies made a run late in the 4th quarter and grabbed the win.
Luol Deng was another new name in the Houston roster. He was traded along Tim Thomas by the Bulls for David Wesley; Juwan Howard and Bob Sura. “I’m disappointed to have left Chicago because there I’ve had a wonderful season as a rookie and reached the play-offs. But I think this move is a step forward in my career as I will play along great players in this game.” He scored 11 points in 13 minutes in his debut.

Lonnie Baxter played his first minutes in the season in this game. He averaged 8 points and 3 boards in 9 minutes. “Tough loss for us! Is always disappointing to play in a game where your team losses.”
Also rookie John Lucas was another player to finally make his debut in NBA for Houston. He played 7 minutes and made 1 rebound and 2 assists. “Yeah I made my debut but I didn’t score and that was bad for my team! I hope to play better in the next games and show my real potential!”

Washington, 18 Nov. – Houston managed a win against the Wizards in Washington in what seemed to be a close encounter even though the home team played without all-star player Antawn Jamison. But a new duo stood in front of the Rockets: Arenas – Butler who scored together 64 points.

The Player of the Game was named Tracy McGrady who scored 29 points and made 3 boards; 2 assists; 2 steals and 1 block. “It’s important for us to continue this way and win the next games. It was a tough one but we’ve learned something from the Memphis game and never gave up.”

The 1st quarter started with Gilbert Arenas heating up and scoring 15 points. But Houston played smart basketball and pass the ball well giving Washington only a 3 points advantage in the end. Alston scored 7 points and made 1 assist.

In the 2nd quarter T-Mac and sophomore Luol Deng helped the team having an 8 point advantage at the half. Deng scored important points at the buzzard and led the Rockets when T-Mac was on the bench. He scored 13 points in the first half.

The 3rd quarter was another close one Butler exploding with 12 points and out-playing the double team on Arenas strategy. He was left wide-open and showed the crow his variety of shots: from mid-range open jump shots to power dunks.

Yao Ming scored rarely but he was an important part of the Houston defense

In the 4th quarter McGrady took control and made shots from almost impossible angles. Although the Washington duo Arenas-Butler worked almost perfectly T-Mac responded and kept the Houston advantage till de end.

I didn't like your first trade for Miller, but your second trade was pretty OK. And you need to use Yao way, way more.

Well Miller is a shooter and I needed him in order to score more. Deng is a big help from the bench for sure. And regarding Yao I know I'm trying

Nice dynasty, sux your playing shorter quarters tho, as it makes your Stats other than Scoring and Steals lower than normal, i mean Tmac should be averaging at least 6rebs 5 assists.

I dont really like the Miller trade as I think Miller wouldnt be traded for just DA and Norris who wont do much. But the second one is good.

The Experience Factor

Houston, TX, Nov. 23 -- Houston managed to win for the first time in front of their home crowd after a close game played against the Bobcats. The experience of superstars McGrady and Yao Ming was a big factor in the final result.

Yao Ming showed why he’s so popular in Houston and delivered big time. He scored 24 points and made 7 rebounds; 2 assists and 3 blocks. “It’s an important win for the fans. Without them the game would have been much harder. We stayed focus and scored when we needed to score.”

The 1st quarter was a battle between the 2 superstars of the two teams: Tracy McGrady and Emeka Okafor. T-Mac scored 9 points and helped Houston getting a 7 point lead at the break. Meka scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.

In the 2nd quarter Charlotte made a comeback and took the lead at the half 54 – 51. They passed the ball well and found players unmarked. Kareem Rush scored 11 points making 2 out of 3 from beyond the art. Meka helped him with 6 points and 2 boards.

The 3rd quarter was another battle won by the away team. J. Jones and Felton came from the bench and scored 9 points. Gerald Wallace scored 4 points and made a super defensive play blocking McGrady on the fast break. Stromile Swift scored 6 points and made 3 rebounds finishing with a mid-range jumper in the last second of the quarter.

The 4th quarter started strong for the Bobcats. Using his quickness Brevin Knight got to the foul line and kept his team into the game. Yao leveled the game scoring 11 points in this quarter and blocking 2 shots in the last minutes. But the game was decided by the unforced errors of the young Bobcats. Brezec made an error pass when Houston was leading by 1 with under a minute to go and Swift made the 2 FT. Knight missed 3 and McGrady’s steal sealed Houston home win.

Power Rankings

The first Power Rankings of the year have been released. Dallas Mavericks is the top team in the West and in the Power Rankings with a 6 - 1 record. In the second place and the top team in the East is conference champion Detroit Pistons. The third spot went to the surprise-package Charlotte Bobcats. Houston Rockets is the 16th team in the PR and the organization will definitely look for a higher spot in the coming weeks.

Well tnx for the kind words anyway (except the "not that good" part  ) .

P.S. Sorry I haven't updated lately but there are still a couple of exams that are bugging me  And I'm kinda thinkin' of starting a new dynasty a more realistic one with 12 min a quarter and realistic sliders of course :) 82 games NBA style and maybe creating me in the game as a rookie (a sort of jounal dynasty I don't know I'm still thinking  )
