I'd still put money on the Sox repeating though.
I've got to say, with the Pacers struggle, and Colts getting beat, the Sox championship feels that much sweeter. At least I know I'm not COMPLETELY doomed in my teams.

That's why you don't bet money. I bet with a gal friend of mine that I'd shave my head if the Colts got to the Superbowl and otherwise, she'd have to call me "daddy" for a day and let us have film footage of her pushing someone down and yelling "Stay down nigga!". It's going to be a fun week.

I don't mind putting $ on the Sox, they back up their talk
Are you kidding me, KevC? If you can make the right picks, you can basically have the US Government pay you to watch sports

I'm going with the Steelers from now on. Even though I had the Colts winning the last game I like Pittsburg better but I just thought that this year was the Colts year.

Or if you pick the score in college football games
And my predictions for this week:
AFC
I have no idea which way to go with this. Do you go with the team that has beaten the dynasty in New England, and have home feild? Or do you go with a team that beat the best team this season (indy) in Pittsburgh? Both defenses are great with big plays at critical situations (Joey Porter and Champ Bailey). As I'm writing this I have no idea who to pick still. I'm leaning towards the steelers though for a few reasons: Big Ben is now 3-1 in post season games. He will be on the road where all the pressure will be on Jake Plummer again. Jake has played very good, but im not convinced he wont buckle at the knees at this stage. Also the running game for the steelers is better. If Big Ben (yes i hate spelling his last name) does struggle, they have a more reliable running game to turn to. Denver has a good running game too, but I'd take Pittsburgh's ahead of Denvers. And finally, the wide recievers. Hines Ward, Randle El, Miller (their TE) all make life easier for Big Ben. Its going to be close and could so easily go either way, but I have to pick one, and thats the steelers (plus they are the onyl team i havent been able to predict in this post season)
NFC
I'm sticking with my panthers.
Ok I'll give you some reasons

. Alexander is banged up and Carolina's defense is unbelievable right now. Jake Delhomme has been great in the post season in his career (he's 5-1 isnt he?) and Steve Smith has been the mvp of the playoffs so far. Seattle has Hassellback and a very balanced core of WR's, but Carolina shut down an offense that reminds me alot of Seattles in the Giants in week 1 of the playoffs, and i dont see much to change my mind. DeShawn Foster's absence hurts their chances, but Delhomme and Smith is too good right now. Unless if Alexander regains his midseason form, I cant see them moving the ball that well against this defense.

AFC
Ben Roewhateverhislastnameis is gonna choke and Denver is going to the Super Bowl.
NFC
Panthers.

I'm going with Seattle in the NFC... I don't think they can be beat at SafeCo, despite Steve Smith being on fire. Plus Alexander might play.
In the AFC... I'll have to go with teh home team and pick Denver. Plummer is really stepping it up and teh thin air is always an advantage.
In the SB, I like the Seahawks.

Hey, doesn't Bettis has asthma? If he does, how is he gonna play at such high altitude?
Thu Jan 19, 2006 6:00 pm
I think the bigger question is how Denver is going to run against Pittsburgh's 3-4 defense. Piitsburgh shut down Edge last week, and Denver really struggled on the ground against New England.
Fri Jan 20, 2006 12:38 pm
Yea, I agree, but the Pats didn't do a great job on the ground either!
Fri Jan 20, 2006 7:20 pm
Julius Peppers and the Carolina Panthers !
But I heard he is questionable for the game vs. Seattle this week =\
Fri Jan 20, 2006 7:23 pm
Panthers and Pittsburg.

Super bowl predictions :
Steelers over Seahawks in the Battle of the S-teams. For some reason there are a hell of a lot of steelers fans at Virginia Tech here. I wonder how many steeler sweatshirts and terrible towels I will see tommorow...over under is at 100.
congrats to both teams
Mon Jan 23, 2006 12:57 pm
Well, I got half of the games right. Go Steelers!
Mon Jan 23, 2006 6:57 pm

My Panthers lost. Didn't get to catch the game cause I was out the whole day.
But my other team did make it in there.
Go Seahawks !
