who's your favourite actress?

just interested to see who's everyone's favourite actress is. mine has to be rachel mcadams, hands down. probably the most talented actress in hollywood today. for those of you who don't know her, she was in wedding crashers, mean girls and red eye. those movies don't really do her justice though, if you want to see something great go watch the notebook. i gotta admit it made me kinda teary eyed, but she was so damn good at playing her character. it may seem like another chick flick, but 15 minutes into the movie you're so into it.

If we're talking about TRUE actresses, I'd go with Kathy Bates.

If we're talking about good-looking pieces of skin with moderate acting talent, then I'd go with Liz Hurley.

Kathy Bates is pure genius. Judy Dench is also a marvelous actress.

Renee Zellweger (Cold Mountain), Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind), and surprisingly, Natalie Portman (Garden State) heads my notables for best actresses.

In no particular order: Holly Marie Combs, Evangeline Lilly, Natalie Imbruglia, Alyssa Milano and Elizabeth Hurley..

Ahh yes, Naomi Watts was awesome in 21 Grams and Mulholland Drive. Scarlett Johansson was pretty good in Lost In Translation and The Girl With a Pearl Earring, but I haven't seen anything spectacular from her though.

In terms of looks Angelina Joeli, rachel mcadams and jessica alba.

Looks: Carmen Electra, Catherine Zeta Jones Douglas, Susan Ward.

Skills: Charleze Theron, Nicole Kidman.

Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman crossed my mind as well. Though I haven't seen much of Kidman's movies, nothing about her really made an impact.

Charlize was great in Monster, but that makeup job was a huge influence on her winning the Oscars, imo, same with Kidman's nosejob in The Hours.

I like Jessica Alba, Charlize Theron, Angelina.

hmm i'm not sure i can agree with the makeup job getting Charlize Theron an Oscar. I didn't know much about who Aileen Wournos was when i saw the movie but I thought Ms Theron did a great job in the movie.

When i saw an A&E show about Ms Wournos, I was even more impressed on Theron's portrayal of her. She had the mannerisms down, especially that thing Wournos would do with her mouth.

I always liked Theron, she could be the definition of class. She was awesome in Monster, make up or not, the way she walked, the way she talked, the way she held herself through that movie, amazing. Not once would you think under all those layers of pancakes there is that much gorgeousness.

Nicole Kidman is a kickass actress, her facial expressions are top notch. I loved her in The Others.

Another one who can act well & is also very beautiful is Rachel Weisz. Constant Gardner. I rest my case.

Another fair actress Julia Roberts. She's funny.

My favourite actress..based on talent alone would be Beyonce.

Jackal, I haven't seen The Constant Gardener but heard about it.. how was it?

didn't that move hit theaters a month ago but already is on DVD?

It came out on DVD just yesterday, but it didn't get much publicity which might explain the early release on DVD.
