I'm thinking about buying an iPod shuffle ($99.99) and the arm band ($22.99) from Best Buy. I would like to give it for working out and it is a lot cheaper than the iPod nano. Do any of you guys have the iPod shuffle? Is it a good value? Any help would be appreciated. If you have another smaller mp3 player that is $100 or less I would be interested in hearing about those as well.
What do you guys think?

yeah i got it... well i have to say for what is worth... its soso i am trying to switch to at least a nano right now.
i mean the song capacity is decent enough for me and you can always turn off the shuffle option, i dont have the arm band but i just stick it in the sleeve of my underarmour when i go train. just that when you can get a mini or a nano for about 60 - 70 bucks more devalues it a little bit considering the capacity and durability of those

The video iPod is atleast $300. I don't have that kind of coin. I can't find a mini or original iPod at Bestbuy.

Only things good I can think about of the Ipod Shuffle is the weight and the size...
The capacity isn't that much (512MB or 1GB) and it doesn't even have a display that shows what song it's playing.

I'm actually bidding for a SanDisk 240 1 GB mp3 player on Ebay, hopefully I'll get it.

for how much?
Mon Jan 09, 2006 11:24 am
Right now it is going for $20.50.

It will get raised.

I'd say ipod shuffles arent worth it. No interface, you can't even pick what song you wanna hear. I don't think its worth it. Plus its only 512, if anything, buy a regular mp3 player and get a memory card.

I definitely dont thin Shuffles are worth buying, even if they are cheap.
Im not sure how much Nanos are over there, but they are one of the best mp3s you'll find, color screen, minute size, 2-4g, what more could you ask for?
Mon Jan 09, 2006 11:48 am
They are $199.99, I was looking at those but they are too expensive.

ipod shuffles are gay, save up and get a video

Shuffle is garbage, it repeats one song like 40times, I mean its fustrating trying to find the song you want to listen to and not get it. Get Ipod 20-30GB or video, those are good, or go with a Creative MP3 player, those are cheaper and good. If you want to ONLY listen to music, go with Creative ZEN Touch 20GB, I have that and its awsome, real good headphones, better than iPod headphones. Trust me. Soudn quality on Creative Zen Touch 20GB is awsome, best there is.

That is excatly what I was thinking. I couldn't believe they would sell it for $23. If I got an iPod I would certainly look for one of those on ebay.
However, the thing I'm bidding for on ebay right now comes with an armband.

shuffles are shit, with the same amount of money for a shuffle, you can get a better mp3 player, that HAS a fucking screen, and has more options than just shuffle and normal play. fucking apple and their ipods, people just buy the shuffle just because they want to say they have an ipod and because of the ipod name.

Apple Shuffle are decent for the conservative buyers.
Pros:
- very compact
- plays mp3s
- lots of accesorries
Cons:
- no screen display
- no fastforward
The reason why you can't find any Mini or Ipod Original in Best Buys is because the MINI has been disconntinued by Apple. Not sure about the Ipod Original.
