BUSS NAMES ISAIAH CRUZ GENERAL MANAGER
EL SEGUNDO-After a long period of searching since the firing of former General Manager Mitch Kupchak, Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss has had a long list of applicants and he has interviewed some of the biggest names around to be the GM of the Los Angeles Lakers. He has called Jerry West in Memphis, but he said that he will remain with the Grizzlies. Dr. Buss contacted several others and went as far as to consider Jack Nicholson.
However, he concluded to go with a person relatively unknown to the basketball world. Nothing much has been released about his personal data, except his name: Isaiah Cruz.
“It’s an honor to be part of the Lakers family,” Cruz said in a press conference at the Toyota Training Center in El Segundo. “I’ll do whatever I can as general manager of this team, and hopefully contribute to getting to the playoffs again.”
NOTE: im gonna start dynasty mode already and i figured the team should have a GM already before hiring the members of the staff...sorry i couldnt think of anything creative.
