The fans are frustrated and Marbury's become the scapegoat for all the Knicks' problems. If the boobirds used their brains, they'd stop paying high prices for a sh!tty product. THAT would send a message to the jokers at the top. They're the reason this once-proud franchise is in the toilet.
Wed Dec 28, 2005 2:52 pm
That proverbial toilet is well and truely clogged. Massive salaries on the books for years to come, heading straight for the lottery in this draft, has no draft pick this season irrelevant of where they finish, starting C averages less boards than most tall guards etc.
I think the only way this team will ever win is if they can do some Coach Carter shit and find the "inner champion" in all of their overpaid emergency room players. This mess is going to take a long long time to clean up, considering the best thing to do is rebuild and the rebuilding process doesn't even look like it's starting.

I don't get that New York logic - "We don't rebuild in NY." You rather lose with 110m payroll and lose badly than lose cheap with players on their rookie contracts, draft well and have a slight chance that your players will develop and turn you into a contender. Okay then, my mistake.

That's always been the attitude of Knick management. This sh!t goes back decades, before Dolan. All they care about is the Knicks sneaking into the playoffs so they can fill the Garden and jack up prices the following season.

I think we're stuck with the Dolans and Cablevision for a long time, JWB.

wow curry had a good game going then got injuried. 29points 9 rebounds in 24minutes..
i guess the knicks just showed why they the worst team in the NBA. 20points all together from the starting 5.
im convinced someone has to go, brown or marbury.

Did you hear Brown's & Marbury's remarks after the game? It's getting ugly, and you're right. This has to be resolved, one way or another.

I still think that a Marbury, Butler to Atlanta for Lue, Delk and Harrington is a great idea (it works on realgm trade checker

)
Thu Dec 29, 2005 4:46 pm
I think tonight was Marbury's way of saying, "Have it your way, I don't care anymore. Happy now?"
I see David Lee won the Knicks Starting Lottery tonight, JC played alright off the bench.

Dude, the days of fleecing teams are over. Why would Atlanta make that deal and take on Marbury's huge salary? You have to trade quality for quality - no one wants the Knicks trash. Besides, Hawks management said any deal for Harrington would have to involve Frye.

yup, marbury didn't sound too happy, especially when they told him Eddie Curry is injuried again.
and to think both brown and marbury both always dreamed of being a part of the knicks growing up..

Maybe Brown and Marbury are doing a drama act like what what Brown and AI did in Phllly. Once the drama is over, they'll get back to work.
Sat Dec 31, 2005 2:16 am
I downloaded a video of the latest Marbury/Brown interviews

Brown's like this little kid trying to tell his parents what the kid up the road did but without sounding like a snitch "well ... you know... 3 assists, 0-7 in 40 minutes... he gets the ball, alot. You know."

Knicks lost against the Bucks today. I watched the whole game and I was pleased that Marbury had more assists than points, he ended up with a double-double and he also dished out 9 assists in the first half alone.
Maurice Taylor had a surprisingly good shooting game today, he had a season high with 14 points or so.. but his shots were going in. Ariza was playing like shit, he kept fouling plus the Knicks kept turning over the ball in the late stages of the game. Crawford was taking too many stupid shots near the end
Nate Robinson played alright as well,he got hit a few times and he continued to play, he was the hustle man, in fact the commentators kept commenting on how the Knicks were deflecting the ball more in that game than they have in the past week combined or something. So I think the Knicks had an alright game, but they lost
Edit: Marbury had more assists than points earlier in the game... but ended with like 14 points and 10 assists or something

Marbury played well in the bucks game. He didnt shoot well, but he played like a leader. With him, curry, ariza and frye, the knicks have to build around that core. I'm still filthy about that draft pick situation with the bulls. I cant believe Isiah didnt lottery protect that
Sat Dec 31, 2005 5:43 pm
David Lee was also playing well tonight, I suppose he had more minutes than Ariza, Ariza didn't make much of his playing time with the bad fouls he made. I think one of them was when the ball was being inbounding so he decided to jump in the air and land on the receiver, I thought that was unnecassary.
That's my only gripe with Ariza, I need to see more games from him before i can label him something more than a highflyer...

Memo to Larry Brown: I don't want to see f-n Jamal Crawford on the court at crunch time!!!
Sat Dec 31, 2005 6:17 pm
Jamal Crawford has baaad shot selection. Knicks should think about trading him instead of the Marbury rumors.
Sat Dec 31, 2005 6:38 pm
Crawford seems to be settling in his role as instant offense off the bench, well not counting today hehe.
in his last 5 games, including tonite's suckfest
18ppg
4.4rpg
4.6apg
1.8 3PM
41 3pt%
is it just me or is Nate Robinson the new crybaby of the NBa?
I'm still filthy about that draft pick situation with the bulls. I cant believe Isiah didnt lottery protect that Mad
that is the silver lining to whatever happens with the bulls this season

Just in case they don't make the playoffs and NY end very low: Lamarcus Aldridge and Ronnie Brewer/Rodney Carney, anyone?
Tyson Chandler/Othella Harrington
Lamarcus Aldridge/Mike Sweetney/Darius Songaila
Luol Deng/Andres Nocioni
Ronnie Brewer or Rodney Carney/Ben Gordon/Eddie Basden
Kirk Hinrich/Chris Duhon/Jannero Pargo
And that would be even before they would improve their lineup through FA. Considering that the only thing they should've improve would be their frontcourt depth, especially at the C position, they could've try to get someone Joel Przybilla to give them size and shotblocking off the bench. Then this team would have it all - inside scoring, star potential in each of their starting five (and their sixth man), penetration, 3pt, interior and perimeter D, playmaking... And they would also have cap space and bunch of trade assets (namely Gordon) who could be used to trade for a legitimate superstar (Deng and Gordon plus someone else for LBJ?).
