Going with your gut feeling isn't such a bad idea, but I like I said before tread carefully with it. I'm sure she'll appreciate you being there for her one way or another. Um...She should be in the hospital or something. It's only going to make things worse. Even if there's 0.000000001% chance of survival, it's better to fight for that tiny percentage than giving up. You never know what human will can do, but just not treating will just make it worse and worse. If she's that sick, say to her to go to the hospital and get treatment, no matter how hopeless it seems, because giving up hope is the worst thing you can do. Why won't she go to the hospital anyhow? It's never ever ever ever a good thing.

Yeah, after reading some of this, I'd really encourage having her seek treatment. If she's not doing it for religious reasons, then have a priest or something "bless" her because I've heard stories where cancer patients actually recovered fully when there was virtually no chance... worth a try.
