there are no real big diffrancesin the game, more then new roster and try to get better game play, like this year was the free style control... nothing new next year is there?

Dynasty Mode (formerly known as Franchise Mode) is also advertised as being deeper, which could mean improved free agency, trading of draft picks, better scouting reports, more injuries and other improvements over Franchise Mode in Live 2000-2003.

Live 2004 is also meant to have sliders allowing greater adjustments for gameplay, which although not a totally new concept, is enough to suggest Live 2004 will boast much better gameplay than Live 2003. There's no need for any brand new, revolutionary addition this year, just improvements to gameplay and multi-season play, and it appears as though that's what we're getting.

I don't want anything too big overhaul issues into the game... Maybe overhaul is a bad word. I'd like them to overhaul the dynasty to work as it should and make the gameplay more realistic. I want a game like Live 2000 where there were no big flaws.

Don't bballer22 want a game that actually works as it should?

You don't advertise a product with line like this: "This time we have fixed the problems with the franchise/dynasty mode to work as it should have in the first place..." You just don't do that. I have full trust in EA for them to pull of a solid game.

Exactly. That's why NBA Live 2004's key features list reads along the lines of "Improved Gameplay" or "Improved AI", not "Problems from NBA Live 2003 fixed".

Because I've only played Live 95 on Super Nes, Live 2000 on 64 and Live 2002 and 2003 on PS2, can someone please tell me what sliders are???

Sliders are used to globally alter various aspects of the gameplay eg. overall game speed, field goal percentage etc. By altering these settings, you can effectively set the game to play as realistically or as unrealistically as you wish, while still being able to select your chosen difficulty level and other gameplay settings.

speaking of better gameplay ... i hope that the AI's no-look-steals will be gone next year. They really piss me off and i know they cannot be removed with sliders.

Sliders may decrease the number of times those steals will occur during gameplay if you set it at a low setting.

I can't wait for sliders, I might finally have a shooting percentage lower than 65% in my games. It's just too easy to score in this game(2003)--when i play multiplayer it's always who will out shoot who--kinda like the Sac vs Dallas series.

Instead of ALWAYS getting the steal when they reach out, they should deflect the steal... No team get 20 steals a game or 30 blocks....

PLus I play Player Lock, SO my character gets 30 assists a game, because the cpu doesn't shoot enough.. I tell it to pass to me it does, even when i'm accross court and the ball will be stolen, I tell it to shoot and it does... But even after about 5 seconds with the ball the assist still goes to who passed it last:rolleyes:

Deflections have been mentioned a couple of times in regards to NBA Live 2004, most recently in the GameSpy preview I believe.

We shouldn't worry about graphics at this point. The early screens aren't usually an indication of the quality of the final product. The quality of the cyberfaces is something that will likely be improved as the finishing touches are put on the game.
