Richard Pryor died. He was 65. He was a great stand-up comedian. Personally, I'm a big fan of stand-up comedy and I watch Comedy Central stand-ups everyday. Anyways, here is the link

I have to admit, I haven't seen a great deal of his work but enjoyed what I have seen. RIP.

That was one funny guy... One of the funniest african-american comedians since ... Davis Jr...

He'll be missed.

Wasn't he really sick, or am I confusing him with someone else? :?:

Sun Dec 11, 2005 12:12 pm

"I made ni----s laugh all day long(in jail)....keep their mind off the booty!"

"You go down to the jailhouse looking for justice, that's what you find, JUST US!"(black folks)

"White folks got themselves some new n-----s - the Vietnamese!"

"They got all the Vietnamese in Army camps and sh!t, taking tests and stuff, learning how to say n----r - so they can become good citizens!"

"Be careful if you get some Vietnamese p---y, jack - they got a VD scare the sh!t out of penicillin!"

"Someone told me you put cocaine on your d---, you could f--- all night...shouldn't have told me that! My d--- had a jones! Six hundred dollars a day just to get my d--- hard!"

I could go on and on.....

This is truly a sad day. I grew up listening to Pryor, Redd Foxx, Rudy Ray Moore and 'Wildman' Steve Gallon, but Richard was THE KING of them all. He put his soul into his comedy. There'll never be another..

RIP, mutha------

RIP to the greatest to do it.

Live on Sunset is probably the funniest stand-up in history.

Check out "That N-----'s Crazy" and "Is it Something I Said?" You'll be rolling on the floor laughing.

Don't really find him funny but RIP.

Edit: Before anyone decides this is a racial thing, I just don't really like American comedians as a whole. I respect him alot though

Comedy Central recently did a show called the 100 Greatest Comedians of All Time, and Richard Pryor was listed at #1. I haven't heard any of his works though.

Those are just recordings, right? I've got "The Anthology" though. I'm always partial to a video performance though.

Yeah, they're recordings. Some of the bits from That N-----'s Crazy & Is it Something I Said are on The Anthology. But you should get those two.

He'll be missed...I hope they do a tribute to him with all the stand-up greats. That would be awesome.

Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, all tried to emulate Richard Pryor.

R.I.P.
