The Phobia Thread

Who in here has a strange, irrational fear for something that normally shouldn't scare you? If not, what are your fears?

Personally, the only thing I am ridiculously frightened of are bugs. Spiders and insects alike, I am positively terrified by those litte fuckers, they scare the shit out of me.

So, what do you guys have to say?

Spiders, though not as extreme as others with arachophobia. I have a intense fear of a significant other cheating on me... Also afraid of heights, though I did face my fears by going skydiving, which helped a bit

By far the scariest things to me are spiders and creepy-crawly stuff like that. I'm a little afraid of snakes as well, but only if I found one in my room or something.

Claustrophobic I think is the word that describes that.

I'm a pussy when it comes to cockroaches, worms, spiders and insects and stuff.

As far as I know, I don't have anything of that Sometimes I get scared when I see a bug suddenly, but after that...I just kill 'em (or flush them down the toilet )

Oh yeah, small spaces also scare me, it makes me go crazy when I can't move, makes me feel like Im stuck there and can never get out. Oh and Im scared of gays too, but lesbians are ok.

That reminds me, one of my friends is hugely homophobic. He's afraid that any gay guy he sees is going to feel him up or something. He even refuses to wrestle because he thinks it's gay.

The only strange part about it is that you have to stay still. It's not like you have no room to move, they just want you to stay still (unless I'm mixing up an MRI with some other kind of test).

Not with me, they had me in a tube sort of shape. Now that I think of it, it would have been pretty scary if the tube started moving in on you really slowly.

I am not afraid of insects but i am scared of the small places, and water. I hate water because i have some fear that i will drown, i have had a bad experience so i am really afraid of water. Its not like i don't take showers/baths that doesnt scare me, only large quantity of water.

Small spaces would just about be it... I have like reverse fears. Where I'm not scared of things other people are scared of, but I am scared of things they're not.
