The difference is Microsoft has about 600,000,000 times as much money as Sega did. Plus, PS3 is NOT known to have better "specs" than Xbox 360. Sony lies about it's specs every freaking system they launch. They get everyone amped up about it then when they get it it's not really as great as they said it was. They claim they had to "scale back for time".

Plus, I think Microsoft has higher quality products than Sony. Everything I buy from Sony breaks.

This is hilarious because Windows is probably the buggiest software known to mankind! Same thing with Internet Explorer!

And yes, I do support the Revolution. (If it wasn't obvious by now.)

Have fun with the Revolution, one step behind. Revolution would be pretty cool if it was launched with the past gen systems.

I haven't had any problems with Windows and I don't use Internt Explorer, so I don't know about that other stuff. But all the Sony products I buy end up breaking after a year or two. And it's always within a few months after my warranty expires.

Windows XP really improved in comparison with shit-ass buggy pieces of shit known as Windows 95, 98, ME, and whatever they crammed in between those.

I'm still curious to see if those Revolution controllers will live up to the hype, but let's not get into that, since there's already a thread on that.

The only good thing that the PS has over X-Box was that you could get a mod-chip for it and then you could play burnt games for $5 at China town.

My brothers PS2 has been fairly consistent . Never messed up and he's had it since day one when it came out . Plays the same as always . Sony products for me don't break much , but Coby products always do.

Well PS2 and PS both had record amount of recalls when they launched, so Sony is quite known for releasing products too quickly.

The Dreamcast stuff was nice so my guess is they should have waited a few years to figure out they could put games on DVD-Rs. Or should have started earlier and released old-gen type games on Cds or whatever.

Nintendo seems to be mostly for little kids. Maybe 5 games I actually would like on it. The rest are cartoonish. Half the titles are Mario something.

Far as xbox goes I don't think MS will mess up. You mention windows and IE but guess what... You may have firefox or netscape but you are on windows. Don't say Linux eather you can't play Live on it.

Far as Sony im sure they wont be any better or worse thier specs are lower but sony makes thier hardware work better for running software. Its ore about what you like more.

This is what I thought when I knew that 360 was gonna come out first but then the span of time between the 360 and ps3 releases isn't that significant compared to the dreamcast and it's competitors. The other reasons there were more or less a coincidence though. Besides, Microsoft is too rich to let the 360 go the way of the Dreamcast

Well it looks like I won't be getting my 360 for a little bit, so I guess I'll have some extra time to think about it. But I mostly want to get rid of my piece of shit gamecube as quickly as possible, so that's an influence. There's so many different opinions and no clear-cut winner, so I'll problably say fuck it and get a 360.

Don't get rid of your GC, well atleast don't sell it at EB games or trade it to game stores because they will only give you areound 2-5 dollars for it. Keep it and maybe get Super Smash Bros. and play it in your free time.
