<Game> The Nuggets started off slow only scoring 16 in the first quarter. It took them a while to figure out they were playing basketball. The Second quarter the went on a little 6-0 run to end the 1st half. George Karl had a big discussion with them in the locker room becaus they came to play in the 2nd half. In the 3rd quarter they scored 20 points and held the Nets to 14. In the start of the 4th quarter the score was 55-54 Nuggets lead by 1. They wanted the win more than the Nets and they showed it. Outscoring the Nets 22-14 in the 4th quarter gave them the 77-68 win. After 1 game in their season they are the 4th in the NBA in power rankings behind Spurs,Pistons, and the Heat.

"Carmelo Anthony is one of the better players on the team. He has a lot of potential and tonight proved his talent. He shutdown one of the league's top scorers in Richard Jefferson. We still need to work on some areas of his game to make him a better player ," said George Karl in a interview post to the game.

Thats a REALLY good deal. Think of it, u give up 1 good post up player (KMart) a good defender (NENE) and a good passer (Miller) FOR a better post up player with a BETTER mid range game (Zach) a young talented player with great PG Potential (Telfair) and a good finishing fast break player (Miles)


I wouldnt HEZITATE. Definatley do it.

The Nuggets decided to do this because they felt Elson, and Najera were not producing off the bench when Marcus Camby, and Zach Randolph were on the bench. Darius Miles is a only defense,fastbreak type player, Richardson can do it all, shoot, pass, and defend, and can be a fast-break type player.
