I finally got the chance to play Live again after being side tracked by GT4 again. That's what happen when you watch Top Gear, I spent 5 million credits to buy all the super cars and raced them in Nurburgring to see what's the fastest car in the Universe. I only used production cars and the Mercedez SLR smoked them all. I don't want to bore you with car stuff so ...........

I played a couple of games and as a welcome back gift, Wade got injured with a broken hand and will be out for 3 weeks, nice. So i'm left without my best player again but surely Shaq would contest what i just said coz he still is arguably the Heat's best player. Well he proved himself right as he lifted the Heat to consecutive wins against the Warrios and the Sonics. Baron Davis exploded for 44pts, scoring in a variety of moves, defying gravity and the defense of Zo and Shaq! But it wasn't enough as all startin players scored in double figures with Shaq getting 26pts, 8rebs, and 5blks. Mourning had 19pts, 12rebs and a block and Walker scored 16pts while providing the scoring punch in the end game. Jason Richardson provided lots of jaw dropping dunks on his way to score 20pts.

The game against the Sonics was also a close one with Rayray scoring 35pts. He has one of the best moves that i've seen with a rock-the-baby move then a lay up with the left hand, sweet. Rashard Lewis tried to do a windmill in front of Shaq and you know what happened next, yup, Heat fastbreak on the other end. Payton had 28pts and 7asts, while Shaq again was the player of the game with 31pts, 12rebs, and 3blks. Zo had 22pts, 9rebs, and 3blks. He is starting to get his groove back now that Wade is not on the floor.

The Heat are on a 12 game winning streak as they have won 11 straight this month. They beat the world champion Spurs the other night and the Kings last night. Mourning had 31pts, 11rebs, and 3blks against the Spurs as he scored 10 straight points in the 4th quarter at one point and totally dominating big shot Rob. Horry had the first 6 pts of the Spurs but Mourning got back at him in the end. Parker and Ginobili was their usual selves but it was not enough to stop the Heat. Shaq had 24pts, 12rebs, and 6blks. Payton had 24pts and 8asts.

The game against the Kings was totally one sided as the Heat got Wade back from injury, although he's still not 100%, he adds another weapon to the Heat's arsenal. He scored 14pts, 4rebs, and 3stls. Shaq dominated the game with 29pts, 14rebs, and 9blks. This is the second time wherein Shaq missed geting a triple double by a block. The Kings was led by Jason Hart who scored 32pts, Jason who? Jason Hart, formerly of the Dallas Mavericks. Peja did his best to keep the game close but without Bibby, they were off man. Payton had 16pts and 15asts.

I'd like to try that but i won't be enjoying the game that much if i hold a pen and write a play by play every quarter =). Some Dynasty writers can actually do that and i really look up to their effort, but me, i've accepted the fact that i can't be as good as them, so i'll stick with my summarized account of my games =). Thanks for the feedback though. As for the pictures, can omebody help me out???

I think that FRAPS thing is for PC. I'm using PS2 guys. =) Anyway, i thought that i've finally figured out this game when i had my 13 game winning streak but Phoenix was quick to point out that i haven't. The Suns beat the heck out of the Heat leading by more than 20pts through out the game and whenever the Heat comes within 12pts, Nash would make a basket to keep their distance. Nash had 34pts and Stoudamire had 14rebs and 5blks. Marion scored 20pts for the Suns and he provided great defence against Walker. Shaq had 24pts, 9rebs, and 4blks, while Wade had 16pts.

I don't really remember if Wade is a freestyle superstar but currently he is not. He just came back from injury so i don't know if that's causing it. I'm sure Wade is good enough to be a freestyle superstar. At this point in the Heat's season, my LA dynasty is actually better. I have Bryant averaging 33pts and they currently have only 4 loss with 22 wins.

Sorry if i haven't been able to post messages here, i've been pre-occupied with other good games that came out. Maybe i should start another topic "What other games are you playing besides Live2006?" =)

The Heat is back to its winning ways as they beat the Okafor less Bobcats. Shaq took advantage of Okafor's absence and had 38pts, 14rebs, and 6blks. The Bobcats was led by the pretentious Kareem Rush who again smoked me with 36pts, Damn! Damon Stoudamire was also feeling it scoring 18pts.

My next game was against Houston who has a 28-14 record to my 33-12. Yao is one of the MVP candidates and Shaq is just aching to prove that he's still the most dominant SOB in the NBA. Shaq prooved just that as he made his first triple double of the season with 24pts, 11rebs, 10blks, 4asts, and a stl. Yao managed to score 18pts and 8rebs but he only got 12pts from Mcgrady whom the Heat guarded very well. Yao is not 100% so i guess that's the reason for his luckluster performance.

I was asking if Wade was a freestyle superstar and now his superstar status is back. Good job by EA allowing the agents to recover for a few days after their injury before they go on dunk flying again. Wade had 20pts, 4rebs, 3stls, and 2asts for the Heat.

Hey, not bad for a first pic ey hehe. I thought that i would never see the day when Pat Riley will be coaching again. This pst is a week late but it still is one of the biggest news this season. Mr. Jeremy is said to be concentrating on his pron career again

Shaq has won his first NBA Player of the month award as he averager 26.4pts, 10.6rebs, 6.6blks, 1.7asts, and .81stls. Garnett took the West award while Bogut and Deron Williams were the repeat Rookie player of the month for january.

The All-star ballots are out and the participants list has been distributed. I was surprised to see one of my players get invited to the slamdunk contest but he is not the person that i think would even be considered. I have Wade and Posey on my team and they are both great leapers but EA decided to choose one of my players who was just out for 10 weeks because of a knee injury and who is a power forward, Hakim Warrick was the chosen one, everybody, say it with me, WTF!!!!

Zo and Shaq will participate in the all-star game but Wade was unfortunately left out maybe because he missed 22 games this 1st half of the season. It's good to see Zo back in the all-star line up and i hope he do well in the game.

The production of Payton and Mourning this season is definitely the biggest factor in the Heat's standing. Their combined averages of 34pts, 11rebs, 8asts, 4stls, and 4blks is outstanding for support players. And their combined salary is only $7M! Are you listening Mr. Fortson?

The Heat played against the Magic on consecutive nights before the all the-star weekend and somebody from the Magic forgot to tell Zo that it's not 1996 anymore. Zo exploded for 26pts, 15rebs, and 6blks on their 1st game as they disillusioned the Magic. Wade scored 26pts and had 8stls to back up Zo, while Shaq had 19pts, 9rebs, and 5blks. Jameer Nelson led the Magic with 19pts and 6asts. Grant Hill is still getting his usual 19pts, 7rebs, and 5asts. This dude is still dangerous, who knows what could have been if Fila didn't mess up his foot.

On the second game, the Magic did inform Zo that it's 2005 so he only had 14pts, 5rebs, and 4blks. Shaq apparently didn't get the memo and dominated his former team by getting 26pts, 14rebs, and 7blks. As much as Dwight Howard has improved this season, he is still no match for the 35 yr old Shaq daddy. Wade again scored 26pts along with 5stls. The Magic actually played better this time leading by 10 at one point in the 1st quarter but the Heat got back and led by 10pts in the 2nd. The Magic was able to come back and lead by 1 after the 3rd quarter with timely plays from Nelson, Turkoglu, Francis and Hill, but that wasn't enough to win against the mighty Heat. Walker scored 15pts to reach the 15,000 pts club (Well, not really, I don't know how many points he has in his career but wouldn't it be nice if EA added that feature on Live 2007)

Since it's the all-star game already, I think it's a good time to look back through the 1st half of the season and look at how the Heat have improved. The Heat started out very weak as they try to get the feel of each other. They added Walker and Payton into the starting line up and for the most part of the early season, they were disappointing. Mourning on the other hand has been consistent throughout the year, he came through when Shaq was out and so did Haslem. The early injuries to Wade and Shaq was a blessing in disguise since Walker and Payton had to step up their game. Walker and Payton started to find their form but not before the Heat had enough of the 2 that i wanted to trade them. The thing is, nobody wanted them. But it's good coz Walker and Payton are now averaging double digits in points and they have come to relaize their role in the team.

The Heat has lost only 2 games in the past 2 months but they are still 7th on the power rankings. The trade for Warrick and Podkolzine seems to be the Heat's best move yet. Warrick could have been in contention for rookie of the year if he didn't get injured. Warrick played a strong game against the Magic, getting 6pts, 3rebs, and 3 blks in 4 minutes of play. I didn't know that he's a good shot blocker until that game. So now, I have 2 good defenders to back up Shaq and Mourning. These 2 guys could be something after more training from the coaching staff.

Jason Williams and Posey completes the rotation for the Heat and they definitely have done more good than bad. Overall, the come back of Riley and the strong play of everyone make it seem like the Heat will have a better record in the second half of the season, barring anymore injury, I see the Heat going to the Finals this year.

The 2006 All-star weekend is done and over with. Shaq came out as the MVP of the All-star game with 32pts, 6rebs, 6blks, and 2asts, and Deron Williams won the award for the rookies with 26pts and 8asts. Lebron backed up Shaq with 24pts and the slam of the day with an alley-oop where he catched the ball and went 360 for the dunk. The highlight of the Heat's weekend is Hakim Warrick participating in the slamdunk contest. It turned out that he wasn't the only power forward there but Amare Stoudamire was also in attendance, completing the 4 are JR Smith and Gerald Wallace. Hakim Warrick started it out with a off the board throw, catch then in between the legs slamma, not bad. But what he should have done is throw the ball over to the fans run for the dug out, get dressed, come out and watch the contest from the sidelines. He ended up finishing last on the first round, with Amare also getting eliminated. Wallace and Smith were going head to head as they both scored perfect scores again and again. The contest actually needed to go on overtime because they just keep on getting perfect scores. Then on the tie breaker, Wallace again scored a 50 and Smith missed both of his attempts.

The best dunk i saw was a 420 degree dunk by Wallace. Haven't seen that before.

The Heat continued it's rampage of the league as they beat the Knicks 116-105. This put them in 1st place for the first time this season with the Spurs trailing them by half a game. Podkolzine scored a seaason high 16pts whie Wade let the Heat with 26pts. Shaq is also back in the MVP race after missing some games during the early part of the season.
