RAPTORS BOSH RIPS OFF 36 POINTS IN THEIR FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON

Recap

Toronto vs. Cleveland

Raptors 104, Cavaliers 102

Nov. 7, 2005

TORONTO --Finally the Raptors have broken the four game losing streak.

Chris Bosh lit it up against the Cavs' and had the game winning shot.

"It's a great feeling. I knew I had to step it up and since people proclaim me as the future of this franchise, I had to show them what a franchise player can do." said Bosh.

The surprising thing is that they won without their newly acquired players Ricky Davis, Raef LaFrentz and Mark Blount.

"Props to Chris for pushing that team hard. They played with heart and passion. I can see they really wanted to win. They deserve it" said Lebron James who was two assists shy of a triple double. He ended the game with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Another suprising thing was that raptors 8th pick in the 2004 draft, Rafael Araujo scored a career high 21 points in just 29 minutes. Despite only having 2 rebounds he was really doing quite well."I am happy on my performance today. I think I did well on the offensive end but I still need alot of work on other things." said Araujo.

Rookie Jose Calderon had the starting point guard job while Mike James was moved to the shooting guard position. James ended with 9 points and 5 assists while teammate Calderon had 8 points and 7 assists.

Former Raptors, Donyell Marshall had 8 points and 3 steals of the bench.

Larry Hughes added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Next up for the Raptors are the Utah Jazz and the newly acquired players are sure to play.

Wow, a pretty good trade to get you some big men, but Raef and Blount don't really bring anything to the table in terms of defence, which realistically is what the Raptors need, plus their large contracts also aren't very good for the team and Babcock isn't known for taking up monster contracts like Blounts.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, but to the trade itself.

I'd say it was a good trade though, and although you'll be strapped for cap space for a while thanks to Blount, you do get an upgrade over the pieces of shit that the Raptors currently have. Ricky Davis is the real gem in the trade though, he's only 25 I think and he's very capable of averaging 20-5-5 if he is given the right minutes.

Oh yeah, and a fabulous game by Bosh and congrats on the win even though none of your players that you recieved were playing. Araujo also scored 21 points, so it looks like he's making a push for some minutes against Blount and LaFrentz. 8-)

You got alot to say my friend :)

Ye after I traded I looked at the contract and I was like . I fucked myself over financially cause of LaFrentz's and Blount's contract. In the future, Ill probably trade one of them always, most likely Blount and his huge contract. I wasn't really going for defense in this trade, I was going for offensive weapons and big men. LaFrentz has a few years still in him and Ricky Davis is (y) of course. How Araujo played against the Cavs, I will give him another chance while LaFrentz comes off the bench.

Thanks for the comments again people.

RAPTORS WIN AT HOME VERSUS THE JAZZ

Recap

Toronto vs. Utah

Raptors 111, Pistons 88

Nov. 11, 2005

TORONTO --For the second time this week, the Raptors win again against the Utah Jazz.

They were lead by their leader Chris Bosh who had 30 points and 14 rebounds. This is his thrid straight double-double.

"I am glad to get this team back into a winning form. We played hard out their and the newcomers did good as well.

Speaking of the new teammates, Ricky Davis had 8 points in just 23 minutes. "I didn't play that well but a win is a win and I want to help this franchise as best as I can." Other newcomer, Raef LaFrentz came off the bench for Rafael Araujo and played 16 minutes as well as chipping in 7 points.

PG Mike James had a good game as well. His first 20+ points this year for the Raptors. He ended the game with 22 points and 15 of them came from beyond the arc.

Utah's leading man today was Gordan Giricek who scored 26 points.

Andrei Kirilenko of the Jazz had a double-double scoring 14 points and adding 10 rebounds.

Rookie Deron Williams scored 18 of their points but had a tough task guarding Mike James. "They wanted it more than us. We didn't have that passion to win. We need to make better shot selections."

Carlos Boozer lead in rebounding with 17 points but couldn't do anything on the offensive end versus Chris Bosh.

Alvin Williams, Toronto's longest player to be on that team played his first game. He played 3 minutes but was scoreless and his 1 steal as well as 1 offensive rebound.

"It was a great feeling stepping back into that atmosphere. Since that trade went down, Sam ( Head Coach ) said I would be getting more minutes and if I am healthy enough to play 15-20 minutes a game." said Williams after the win.

Sophomore Rafael Araujo was starting once again with 11 points and a career high 3 steals in 29 minutes.

Another 30 points game by Bosh, way to go. Davis had a sub-par game though, I hope he'll get back up to speed because I"m excited about the Davis/Bosh combo. 8-)

My first look here and I must say im pretty impressed.
Nice Dynasty, nice trade (im glad u didnt try to get pierce, cause that wouldnt have been realistic imo) and nice graphics.

Maybe Bosh is a lil bit too good, but I think there are still games to come were he wont rock and davis or raef or perhaps even araujo will have to step up.

n1 man !
