EAST

Detroit (1) vs Philadelphia (4)
New Jersey (2) vs Boston (6)

WEST

San Antonio (1) vs Los Angeles (5)
Sacramento (2) vs Dallas (3)

My predictions:

Philadelphia over Detroit 4-2
New Jersey over Boston 4-1
Los Angeles over San Antonio 4-2
Sacramento over Dallas 4-1

Therefore, my vote is for definitely no sweeps in the second round.

My picks are:
Philly over Pistons in 7 games (Detroit is lookin' good but I just can't pick them over A.I's scoring lately)
NJ over Boston in 6 games (Jersey's 1-2-3 punch is doin' well and they showed that they could play against the Bucks!)

Lakers over Spurs in 5 games (San Antonio is all fired up for the first game; because of TD's MVP award and the team is actually focusing on playin' good....i predict a first game win to SA then it'll all fall apart for them)
I just hope... Mavs over Kings in 6 games...if the Mavericks can get to a
3-0 start (just as they did vs. Portland than maybe they can beat the Kings but more realistically... Kings over Mavs in 6- the Mavs were swept last season but they both teams have gotten better. I've got to say "the Kings do play well against them.")

Conference finals:
Philly vs NJ: Philly over Jersey in 7 games...A.I. and Keith Van Horn will lead the way to the Finals. Van Horn will further silence his critics and Allen Iverson will play as a team player...

Lakers over... If Mavs won then Lakers will win in 4 games because the Mavericks have always dreaded playing them and remember the 30 point comeback? And the games the Lakers won that dropped the Mavs down to 3rd??
If the Kings won against Dallas than Lakers will beat the Kings in 7 games... I think that the Laker's win-loss thing for this series will be:
LLWWLWW therefore losing King's homegames except for Game 7 in Sacramento

Finals: Lakers sweep Philly
Any West team in the playoffs could sweep any east team;let alon the Lakers!!

Sixers over Pistons in 7 Why?=> Iverson
Nets over Celtics in 6 Why?=> Kidd

Lakers over Spurs in 5 Why?=> inexperienced young guns (parker, jackson)
Kings over Mavs in 6 Why?=> Deep and talented...better defense

Posted 1:00am May 5, 2003 (Celtics tip-off in 15 hours)

In order of Importance

Lakers 4-3 over San Antonio
Sacramento 4-2 over Dallas
New Jersey 4-2 over Boston
Philadelphia 4-3 over Detroit

I believe all four series' could go the other way.
I know that's cheap, but seriously I want Boston to handle New Jersey, but the Nets seem to have the confidence to beat the Celtics, but Paul Pierce is the best player remaining in the Eastern Conference, including Allen Iverson. Philadelphia and Detroit are capable of sweeping each other, this is a great coach's series.
The Lakers are the Lakers, but everyone knows they can lose, Sacramento may author that chapter later.
As Far as Dallas goes, they have the talent, but not the big people, they could get into a running shoot 'em up series with the Kings and win some games.
San Antonio has Duncan, but everyone else is really questionable.
Which of the role players is going to be handling Kobe?

Typical. In the first round, most of us predict there will be a sweep in at least one series, and there are no sweeps. In the second round, we predict no sweeps, and New Jersey proves us wrong.

At last, I made maybe the best predictions for the second round !
Except for NJ against Boston (I though they would have beaten them easily but not with a sweep !) and SA against LA (I though also that would be harder to beat them)

Err, there's also Dallas beating Sacto but well, I was right that the series would have gone in 7 but nobody could have predicted CWebb's injury ! But that's the way game is :D

I still don't understand why people though Philly would beat Detroit !
