ImageGM Bailey4mvp Shakes Roster up Image

Image

GM Bailey4mvp has shaken things up by trading disgruntled SF Scott Padgett to the Sacramento Kings for SG Francisco Garcia. “We wish Scott well in Sacramento, unfortunately for him he wasn’t getting the playing time a player of his quality deserves” Bailey4mvp said at the news conference to announce the trade.

Garcia is likely to split time between point guard, shooting guard and small forward. “Francisco is a very talented player and can play any were in the backcourt and also small forward with his height, we look forward to having him on the roster.”

New Jersey also traded disgruntled G-F Zoran Planinic to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Forward Toni Kukoc. This deal was made to add some scoring punch from the bench.

PG Jacque Vaughn has also been waived.

Rashard Lewis started the game out strong going 4-4 and 8 points. Jason Collins scored 4 points in the quarter but it didn’t help the Nets as Luke Ridnour and Ray Allen went on a 10-0 run to close out the 1st quarter and five the Sonics a 26-24 lead at the end of the quarter.

New acquisitions Francisco Garcia and Toni Kukoc both impressed in their debuts. Garcia started the 2md quarter finding Kukoc for a one handed leaner to give Kukoc his first points in a Nets uni. Garcia didn’t waste any time scoring his 1st points taking a steal from Allen and getting a nice layup to help get the Nets within 5 with less than 2 minutes to go. Rashard lewis continued his hot hand going 4-7 for 8 points and also recorded a block in the quarter. Toni Kukoc was the star of the quarter scoring 12 points and pulling in 4 boards while helping New Jersey to a 54-52 lead at the break.

pretty decent trades, i like the kukoc trade, i might get him in my dyansty, really loved him when he was with the bulls, but he's kinda faded into oblivion these days.

Good game, too bad you had to lose, 6 players scoring in double figures is good, and look at the rebounds, you had 4 people with 10+ rebounds, my guess is that you were getting on the boards like crazy, it stinks that you had to lose.

GM Bailey4mvp continued to shake up his New Jersey Nets Roster today pulling the Trigger on a trade.

Disgruntled G-F Lamond Murray was traded to the Detroit Pistons for F-C Antonio McDyess. “McDyess has the experience we are looking for and has played with Jason Kidd before”. “Murray was a valuable piece of the Nets but unfortunately he was not playing his best basketball and asked if could look for a change of scenery to help get his form back and to see more minutes on the court.”

Murray will be the 6th man for the pistons and will back up Rip Hamilton and Tyshaun Prince.

Great coverage and recaps, I like the trade, I think you got the better end of it.
