Shit! There goes being a freshman walk on, I'm sure I'll beat the living shit out of the coach before he can make up his mind on me.
Or maybe I'll miss a tryout to record a song or pose for penthouse...

Yeah, and if you're ever "lonely" you can just mimic Kobe!

I had a opportunity last Saturday actually, although we were down by 3 so the play was set out for me to shoot the 3 not drive.
I missed
Mon Nov 07, 2005 6:37 pm
I'm a gunner so I'd probably shoot it....would depend on the circumstances....might go in for layup if opportunity presents itself....otherwise I would drill the trifecta....
Mon Nov 07, 2005 7:07 pm
I would inbound the ball assuming its from the sideline area, run to the opposite side off a pick curl and recieve the ball and take the shot. Rip Hamilton style.

score is tied 100-100 with only five seconds to go and you have possession
I'll throw the rock straight into the opposing players' faces. An all-out team brawl will follow.
The game will be abruptly halted. Score tied. Game is a tie.

Stoppeth thou spammeth?
Anyway I'd go for the drive and I'd probably get layup+foul too, they always defend really bad on such last-chance plays. I'm pretty big and strong for a PG in my competition so my coach always tells me to drive when we need points instead of taking shots.
It also really depends on where you're playing, if I'd be at home I'd take the inside drive, away the shot. Regardless of where the ref is from, it'd be much harder to get the foul at such a moment in away games.
What I don't get though.. the title says down 2 and the first post says 100-100? I'd rather go for 2 pts either way, just because you have a bigger chance of making it over the 3.

Like someone before said, I would pass the fuckin' ball

. I'll leave heroics to the others. But in case if that is not allowed, I would most definitely drive and try to go all the way (and finish with a dunk or a lay-up) or make a floater in the lane. But thing is, if I missed those and I still got fouled, I would still have to shoot the ball

. Too bad I suck at this game.

rofl at all you guys who would try to draw a foul. Do you really think refs would call a foul for you in the last few seconds????? Players decide the game in the last few seconds, not the refs.(At least in the NBA that is)

Thats somewhat true. A few weeks ago I had a game winning 3-point shot with 2 seconds left. We eventually won the game by 1 point. We had the ball and our best shooter got double teamed while I was open so I just called for the ball, when I went up 2 players jumped up and slapped my hand. After I let the shot off I yelled "FOUL!" but then moments later the ball went in so it wasnt important anymore. Its a amazing feeling.

(a) score a layup

draw a foul
(c) get the basket and the foul
(c) get blocked
(d) get stripped of the ball
(e) lose the ball and get a turnover
Assuming the last three doesn't happen, either one of the first three seems smarter than taking a jumper that might just miss under pressure.
Just what Cy said lol...

I would probably drive and take a step back jump shot, I would probably get swatted, but o well. If the refs would actually call the foul, I would drive and fall down or something, cuz I always get fouled, seeing how big people can't contain a small one like me

.

Drive to the hole, because my shooting is awful. I would probably miss the layup, but sometimes I get lucky

After I let the shot off I yelled "FOUL!"
Yeah, that would've worked.

Moments later? Why is that so funny to me?

I'd take whatever was the best option. I'm fairly confident with my jumpshot so if they're completely clogging the lane I'm going to pull up, but if I can get to the hoop I'd probably take that route. In either case, I'd be doing my best not to leave any time the other team could possibly use to get off a reply at the other end.
Tue Nov 08, 2005 8:21 pm
I'll Pass and set the screen for that guy to shoot.. or do pick-n-roll..
but chance of me gettin in is low cuz of pressure..

Thats what i would do
and if i get fould and no foul called, i would throw a hissyfit and get a tech

yo it really depend on who be in the crowd, and whether the game be rigged or not. If they'z hunniez up in dat biatch, i'ma pull up like ma man iverson fade'n away fallin ova half court. Then i'ma cup my ears as if to say "yeah wassup now all yall motherfuckers scream yo motherfuckin headz off at my cluthness yo".
but if da game be rigged and i'm supposeda lose, sheet i aint goin down like dat, so i'd begin to dribble left wit ma left hand... then with ma right pull up... ma piece from ma shortz and pop a muhfuckin cap in da pimps in da audience dat be riggin da game yo!
yo usually in da prizon games i be goin option 1, but they ain't "hunniez"

WTF?????????? STEVAN sighting..........SHIT!!!!!!! or is it?????
anyways, i've been in situations similar to this being the teams best 3 point shooter. Whenever we need a bucket i either
a) dribble up court and pull up for a 3 (only if the D gives me space which usually happens when they play zone)
b) fake left, go hard and fast right and drive towards the key, but instead of a layup i pull up at the FT line and shoot it. 95% of the time that's an open shot.
c) go to the right side of the court, drive hard at the D slashing toward the basket and then pull up an MJ style fadeaway (minus the athleticism and grace)

That's old news lol we've had about 7 Stevan posts recently.
Wed Nov 09, 2005 1:50 am
I would drive to the basket.
I have pretty big self-confidence right now, i almost wrecked the whole shit today when i was dunking.
Wed Nov 09, 2005 8:25 am
I would start to drive and do a switch dribble back fade and pop a "J" in a haters face
Thu Nov 10, 2005 4:30 am
5seconds left....dunno...the coach would took a timeout, and then our SG would go for a middle shoot, and if there will be double team a paas to me, or i just rebound the ball or an ally-oop from him and i dunk it.....
Thu Nov 10, 2005 4:31 pm
id dunk it from the 3-point line
