nba.com nba store...?

Fri Nov 04, 2005 10:25 pm

Guys,

Anybody ever purchased anything from nba.com's nba store thingy? In particular directing the question to the Aussies on the forum, but am happy to read various opinions...

I ask because I'm thinking of getting a few apparel things, and when converted to Aussie dollars some of the prices are actually very reasonable. The shipping is a little expensive but well worth it when you get a few items, considering you can't really buy a lot of this stuff in Melbourne, and if you could it would cost you an arm, a leg, your left testicle and quite possibly your right.

Aussies, if you've ordered something how long would it roughly take for it to get here? Fuck ordering t-shirts for summer if they arrive half way through winter

I realise I could email them regarding this, but I would like some opinions from people first. Now to learn how to stop making long winded posts... :P

I suggest Ebay. Not all ebay users are private sellers, alot are from shops and whatnot. Plus the shipping is cheaper and the items are also cheaper.

Same here, E-bay is the shizzle. Most of the things I buy are from E-bay Stores, meaning they are quite trustworthy. The shipping is usually to world wide & it usually costs me like 5-6 euro's tops.

You get to compare prices a lot better too, I mean I'm planning to get a Logitech 5.1 which costs €399 in stores, for €150. Gotta love those chinese.

By the way, how were the swedish chicks that had kidnapped you & glad to have you back.

Now stick around, bitch.

Wait a minute, how did you escape from my basement, I'm sure I locked you back in chains after you were forced to slash yourself due to inappropriate behavior.

Anyway, I have no expierence with online shoping, all I wanted is to say welcome back.

Ebay requires a credit card, right?

Sat Nov 05, 2005 6:39 am

No. I don't think so, Paypal would be very useful though, my dad goes on Ebay a lot, he is like a 500+ and his feedback is 100 percent. I suggest buying NBA gear on ebay, very cheap and reliable, but check the sellers feedback first.

Yeah, like that jersey I got for $20 from China. It's good.

Nopes, you can pay in various ways, cheque, bank-wire transfer & my preferred method, Paypal. :)

Sat Nov 05, 2005 7:16 am

can you do direct deposit (from online account)

Sat Nov 05, 2005 7:17 am

Bank-wire transfer, so with internet banking, you can take the seller's bank account number, go into your bank account (via internet), specify an amount to that person's bank account number & voila, you're done.

I hope that's what you meant?

ebay owns, got so many on there for much cheaper than what i could find in stores (ie. my nba live was only $41 plus shipping and handling already, how much is it in eb games, like $60 canadian without tax?)

It's your choice what you wanna buy, I stay away from other countries.

Racist.

Sat Nov 05, 2005 9:22 am

eBay is dirt cheap (depending on who you buy from), but damn, it can get addictive. I already lost a lot of money last year from impulse buying. Since then, I haven't bought anything, but with that scholarship money I just got... I think I'll take a look.

I hope you're actually back, Stevan; I've heard about you a few times :)

That includes shipping though. I didn't notice it was from China when I bought it.

Ebay is amazing but you have to check out the seller before you bid. I've had a few problems on Ebay and Ebay did jack shit about it. It really frustrated the penis out of me.

Sat Nov 05, 2005 11:03 am

yeah Ebay's really good... I've bought 3 AUTHENTIC jerseys off of ebay (the $150 ones) and the most I paid for one was $40 USD (including shipping). You just gotta keep checking back for ones that you like

Sat Nov 05, 2005 11:16 am

I ordered something from the NBA store, it took about 3-4 weeks to come. Id say ordering through Amazon would be quicker cause one of the guys told me that they work through them.

Sat Nov 05, 2005 12:34 pm

The NBA store service is terrible. When I orderd a jersey, I had to wait a few days to find out that the order has been cancelled because they didnt have it in stock anymore. The shipping takes very long and is expensive. Atleast I got them back. I once orderd a authentic Lakers sunday jersey with the authentic shorts, but I changed my mind and cancelled the shorts thing. A few weeks later I got the jersey and shorts, but I only had to pay for my jersey.

Ebay>>>Footlocker>NBA store.

Thanks for the feedback guys, might have a poke around ebay and see if I can get the same kind of stuff. So long as it's all legit, no fakies

Dont you have an NBA store or at least a sports good store that sells NBA apparel in Australia?

Dont buy clothes off ebay, you dont what kind of fuck wore them last thing you want is to get some sort of disease. It maybe from a shop but I still wont go get clothes from there, I think NBA.com should be fine considering your not in a remote country...things should arrive in Australia pretty quickly.

If you're trying to order jerseys and things like that from a certain team, I suggest going to their own personal team shop. (If they have one.)

For example, if I ever order anything online from the Pacers, like when the new jerseys came out and I didn't feel like driving all the way to Indy just for a jersey, I go here. www.consecofieldhouse.com

Definitely not into second hand clothes

I'm after t-shirts, polo shirts, that sort of shit - not exactly stuff you buy second hand. Not jerseys really, the only people who wear them around here are the Sudanese refugees who think they're from Harlem or something. j/ks :D

Chicagosports.com also has some stuff, but don't think it is delivered outside of the US.

We are able to get some stuff from footlocker here, but it seems to be mainly stuff for laker fans  I hate these damn t-shirts that have a neck opening so big you could put them on over your legs instead of over your head and I noticed nba.com had a few things that appear (key word there) to be somewhat decent quality, though you just don't know if you don't check it out in person.

The other store we have in Melbourne is Kickz 101, totally overpriced, and I was very unimpressed last time I went there. Pretty much no bulls gear.

Polo shirts, damn you must be a pretty rich bastard.

If your looking for normal clothes why not just go into any clothes store, Im sure they'd have t-shirts....and you dont have to pay service charge, delivery charge and that sorta shit.
