Anyone going to see Jarhead?

Fri Nov 04, 2005 11:18 am

it seems fairly interesting atleast according to the tv commercials. On wikipedia, it says its based on a book, but i havent read it. whats everyone else's thoughts on this movie (since the movie isnt out yet when i posted this, you could instead put if you are going to see it or not.)?

I'm currently reading the book myself. I suggest you check it because it's a very interesting read. However, don't go to the movie expecting a lot of violence and gore. The marine who wrote this never saw combat, which is what the whole book/movie is about.

I wouldn't mind watching it, but it looks like it might be rated R or something.

It looks like the perfect movie for Riot.

It is a mostly anti-war, anti-marine movie.

Don't really know much about the movie except that it was mentioned on Conan or Leno

I think it looks real cool, Jake Gylinhall might actually need some talent to play this part.

I saw the ad for it and it's related to war; and even if the guy never saw action, this is a movie I want to see.
