Gwen Stephanie and Hip-Hop? Why?

Why Gwen Stephanie doing hip-hop songs all of the sudden? Why is she doing collabs with rap artist all of the sudden? I mean the "Holla Back Girl" song was an example of her trying to make hip-hop songs, and now she made this one song, and I think its called Luxurius or somthing liek that and it features Slim Thug. The song uses the instrumentals from the song Big Poppa by Notorious B.I.G. and its a slowed donw version, meaning the instrumental is just slowed donw a bit. I mean why all of the sudden go from one type of music to another? I mean I just have a problem with her trying to become a hip-hop artist, I dont know why, but it just kinda bothers me. Im pretty sure she released a hip-hop album.

Dont you think its weird how she is trying to be a hip-hop artist? Dont you think she should stick to her original music?

Well, does she seem like a hip-hop artist? I mean, too me, she doesn't really fit into the hip-hop genre. I mean why all of the sudden change from one genre to another, its like Tupac or Biggie going from rap to hardcore rock (an example). I mean if Tupac or Biggie ever did that, you know how many people would be like, "WTF!?!" ?. I mean whenever I see one of her "hip-hop" videos, I say to myself, "WTF?!?! WHy is she doing hip-hop songs now?". I mean, watch, after shes done with hip-hop shes going to become a goth, and after that shes going to do country and than back to whatever shes doing or did before hip-hop.

Hip-hop and ass-shaking is what sells today so she's doing it. She'll probably go back to No Doubt when the dough she's raking from that genre change starts to be weak.

Not all her songs are hip hop, I liked her remake of "Cool". Brought back memories of the 1980's version.

But she's obviously got a market there of 13-17 year old girls along with eminem who like rap. at least she isnt claiming her music to be reflection of herself. I respect her as an artist alot more than eminem and other rappers out there.

MTV doesn't play videos , TRL , the only damn video show they have , is 45 minutes talk , 15 mntues music . And from 3 a.m till 6 a.m , they give vidoes . MTV hits is my channel for videos.
