Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I mean, if you're going to take something without asking (which I'll assume they didn't do) atleast upload it to Imageshack to try and cover your tracks, they should learn something from Mazocchi.
That and try to erase Frannn's name from it
(and changing the pic to Tubgirl ftw)

Change it to GO TO NBA-LIVE.COM FOR THE PIC! or something of the like...
Thu Nov 03, 2005 6:06 am
and looking at more things in that article, ESPN doesnt put ANNYTHING on their own servers
Every link is liking to another site and using their Bandwidth. Even one sites Bandwidth Limit is exceded (if you click on "flaming horse-head logo" you get a bandwidth error)
Deff. not cool

It's not really ESPN who doesn't put "ANNYTHING" on their own servers, it's just the habit of the journalist who is used to proceed like that. And like all good journalists, he doesn't give a flying fuck to copyright issues (though the problem may not exist here), and he doesn't even care citing his sources.

yeah I know but atleast put some stuff on your own server because when someone that runs a site is saying "whats happening to all my bandwidth?" and thats the reasons why...
(give the sites credit in "Credits" or something)
Thu Nov 03, 2005 7:37 am
and i think what mazzlocchi is saying is totally correct on this, their fucking up people's (the links they are giving) bandwith and should atleast have a credits part.
Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:52 am
oh wow.. nice shit! lol.
but yeah, when i saw it, iw as like.. .they should change it... to something funny or whatnot.
Thu Nov 03, 2005 2:44 pm
I think it's like with the patching thing. You can patch the game as long as it's not for profit, and use the patches as long as you don't modify it and claim it as your own, unless you're the patcher who created it.
ESPN2 can have a direct link to the pic as long as they don't modify it or shite.
IMO, there's no violation of "internet laws" made, but as for journalism issues, ESPN2 fucked up.
What's taking too long to change the pic?
Thu Nov 03, 2005 9:54 pm
Change the pic already..
Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:08 pm
Copyright isn't the issue, the only negative in the whole equation is the bandwidth leeching.

Yeah whats taking so long, but I guess humiliating ESPN is nothing big considering there whole network is one big humiliation. Pardon the murdering of past and present tense!

Complying with our hosting agreement is kind of more important than humiliating ESPN. Especially when they manage to do that themselves.
Fri Nov 04, 2005 12:33 am
what about adding a message promoting NLSC on the screen since there was nothing about NLSC on the screen except fran's name
Fri Nov 04, 2005 10:53 am
just dont write 'Fuck Shaq' ....they'll send Ric Bucher and Chad Ford to hunt Andrew down.
Fri Nov 04, 2005 10:59 am
Go away. Really, please go away again.
Sun Nov 06, 2005 2:25 pm
i added "nba-live.com" on the pic..
Sun Nov 06, 2005 2:38 pm
Come on, you can do better than that. Don't let Andrew scare you.
Sun Nov 06, 2005 3:24 pm
They using your bandwidth. You should complain to them. Tell them to give you money for it or something. They a large ass business making mad money and they don't want to put shit on there own servers. All about the $$
