Saddam had a month to move those weapons, and if you recall the photographs were of trucks at nuclear facilities potentially moving the weapons itself. The UN has said they have photographs that show Iraq shipping the WMD's to Syria and Iran.
Iraq isn't allowed to have certain missiles. Why? Because he has been known to put chemical weapons in there and launch them at his own people. Sounds like a good reason to ban them.
Tue Nov 01, 2005 1:08 pm
POTENTIALLY moving the weapons... it's all assumption, and until they actually find something concrete the US government would be best to just pretend that they never even mentioned WMD's.
Tue Nov 01, 2005 1:30 pm
What do you consider WMD's? Are chemical weapons WMD's? Because they have found chemical weapons.
Tue Nov 01, 2005 1:40 pm
What chemical weapons have they found exactly?
Tue Nov 01, 2005 1:55 pm
Iraq insisted that it had reported the rockets, which it said were old and never used for chemical weapons.
The 122 mm warheads were found in bunkers built in the late 1990s
"When these boxes were opened, they found 122 mm rockets with empty warheads. No chemical or biological warheads. Just empty rockets which are expired and imported in 1988,"
Hehe, are these the same weapons that were supplied by the good ol' USA?
Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:17 pm
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- An inspection team searching bunkers in southern Iraq on Thursday found 11 empty chemical warheads

I could probably buy empty warheads on eBay, next.
In Washington, a U.S. military official confirmed that materials found in the laboratory included instructions for making anthrax, as well as formulas and ingredients for making explosives and chemical blood agents.
Also found in the lab were hydrochloric acid and sodium cyanide, which can be used to make the blood agent hydrogen cyanide, the military official said.
That's pretty bad, but again, it's not exactly going to stop the World. People all over the World have that sort of thing, they could've raided some psycho's basement in New Jersey and found the same. As for the last one...
Military officials did not immediately identify either the precursors or the agent they could have produced. "We don't want to speculate on any possibilities until our analysis is complete,"
Even the officials don't want to speculate about what could've been produced. It's really nothing solid, and definitely not the kind of thing the general public were expecting when Bush said they had WMD's.
Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:24 pm
No, but Iraq isn't suppose to have chemical weapons.

Exactly. When I heard that, I thought, "OMG, they got missles and such, and they're gonna use them!" Were there missles used by the Iraqis when the Americans invaded them?
Also found in the lab were hydrochloric acid and sodium cyanide, which can be used to make the blood agent hydrogen cyanide
[bad joke]Pfft, since when was I harmful?[/bad joke] Har har har

But they don't. From what that says they just have some of the equipment to possibly make chemical weapons.

U.S. troops raiding a warehouse in the northern city of Mosul uncovered a suspected chemical weapons factory containing 1,500 gallons of chemicals
A lab was "manufacturing death, intoxication and assassination," Iraq's national security adviser said.
Plus, Iraq admitted to having nearly 8,500 liters of Anthrax, but America thinks over 26,000 liters. They admitted to having 19,000 liters of Botulinum toxin, but the U.N. thinks they have made more than double that. Iraq was producing VX nerve gas, which is EXTREMELY TOXIC. One drop will kill a person, Iraq over 1.5 tons unaccounted for. That's a shit load of nerve gas.
Iraq isn't suppose to have Ballistic Missiles and yet, they do (not anymore).

"Suspected" is the keyword.

So what exactly was it manufacturing? I'd love to manufacture death, intoxication and assassination if I knew how.

Lol of course they do. So basically when you take our the US government spin, they found a factory that contains alot of chemicals. I'm sure they were all lined up facing Texas with little Iraqi flags on them and a control panel that says "PUSH 2 KILL ALL AMERICANS CUZ DEY HAVE FREEDOM".
Wed Nov 02, 2005 6:50 am
No, America and the U.N. have intelligence that says Iraq has been making more than they are saying. This isn't just the US government "spinning" it. If anything, it's Saddam "spinning" it. He has a history of saying he has weapons and then a few years later not being able to account for all of them.
Wed Nov 02, 2005 7:12 am
The US knows because a lot of those WMDs and whatever were made in the US and sent to Iraq. The US gave all those weapons, that's how they know so well. US, the cause and "solution" of all the world's problems!
Wed Nov 02, 2005 7:26 am
Most of the weapons were created by Saddam's regime.
Wed Nov 02, 2005 8:16 am
Source?
I remember reading that most of the weapons were sold by US and Britain because they needed Iraq as an ally a long time ago.

There are probably some other sources as well.

I'm talking about the uranium and stuff he got from Iran or another country.
We did sell him some chemicals, yes. One of many stupid moves on Americas part, however that doesn't mean he can use them on his own people for speaking badly of him.
Wed Nov 02, 2005 2:24 pm
Saddam was an ally then against Iran. That's why he was given/sold weapons by the US and England.
Riot wrote:I'm talking about the uranium and stuff he got from Iran or another country.
Probably from another country. Iran and Iraq are at odds against each other much like China and Taiwan, India and Pakistan, North and South Korea, Japan and China, Israel and just about every Middle Eastern country.
So much hate and misunderstanding.
EDIT: the typos.

Iran is willing to sell uranium to anything who hates America and Israel.

Riot,
You're way to caught up and involved in America's actions. You even speak for America in third person.
CHILL out.
America is a nation, it is not your life.
You seem to have every angle covered in this "debate", but really, who cares?
Go get intoxicated and chill the fuck out.

I speak for America in the third person because I am not "America". I'm an "American". There is a difference.
America is my home and it is a big part of my life. Chill out? I'm pretty chilled.
Who cares? Obviously not you, so you can leave. You didn't have to open the thread labeled "The Politics Thread", now did you? What did you think we'd be discussing in here?

I always enter in here hoping to find some reference to dog on cow action but my wishes never get fulfilled.
