Who deserves to be number 1 in college football? (

I was just sitting here watching the BCS #1 ranked team Texas get spanked in the first half (keyword is first half cuz they can always come back...hopefully not) and was wondering who in here thinks they deserve that spot. I like USC, who do you like out the teams who have a chance to be in #1?

After Texas's Scare Today it should be...
1. USC
2. Texas
3. Va-Tech
4. Notre Dame
But the BCS is fucked so that wont happen...

Until USC loses they should be #1.
If Texas and USC win out it doesn't matter what VT does, they'll be in the championship game.
Notre Dame isn't the 4th best team in the nation. I'd take Georiga over them (even though they lost), Alabama and maybe UCLA.

i think notre dame is a bit overrated. dont get me wrong, i enjoy watching them, but the voters only put them up there cuz or charlie the coach. i dont see how the AP poll has ND at #9 ahead of FSU. FSU has 1 loss (plus they beat #6 UM), ND has two losses. ND beat an overrated michigan and pittsburg and ppl giving them all the credit in the world. where are those two teams now, waaay off the radar. fsu beat BC and UM which are still ranked. and i dont even understand why miami is so high either when nobody they have beat are on the polls. ill just never understand these things. also, its funny how charlie got a 10 yr contract extension when ty willingham didnt and he started out at notre dame better than weiss did. all types of wierd things happening.

Remember ND was the only ones not to get there asses handed to them this year by USC they should have won had a few late bounces not gone there way and actually we will not know if Willingham was better until after the Fiesta Bowl Willingham was 9-3 his first year (9-2 Reg got blown out by Oregan in his bowl)
