cool.
I'm 90% sure i'll be getting Foxtel. Beats going to the Casino to watch a game (although having a beer aint so bad).
Too bad Australia has some of the worlds highest cable TV prices.
I looked at the ESPN (US) schedule, and they have some odd games. Only a few are mouth watering encounters. Still, i hope we get that scheduled Detroit vs NYK game.
Mon Oct 17, 2005 11:02 pm
are there any Chicago or Phoenix games scheduled in the first 2 months?
i bloody hope so..
oh yeah, it better not be bucks bucks bucks all season..
Tue Oct 18, 2005 9:37 am
U guys may get lucky this year since ABC is now ESPN's parent company. So maybe they will show the finals (ABC BROADCAST) on your pacific rim ESPN station.
It sucks you do not get ESPN or ESPN Classic year round... They had a dunk comp marathon last month. I TIVO'd all the good years.
Tue Oct 18, 2005 3:19 pm
yay... one pistons game... and its in december 4th... woo fucking hoo
does fox sports show any games?
Tue Oct 18, 2005 5:39 pm
they used to but not anymore.
I don't think we'll get plenty of Bucks games, since its for the Pacific region so that includes other countries.
Tue Oct 18, 2005 8:45 pm
We get at least one though, the opener. Thought I might have seen a couple of others in there too, most likely thanks to Bogut.

Yeah, we generally get the ABC broadcast of the NBA Finals (as opposed to the "ESPN International" commentary team dubbed over the ABC crew) so I'd say it will be the same this year. ESPN Australia also rebroadcasts some FSN and TNT games, especially during the playoffs (and often in their bonus coverage).
Tue Oct 18, 2005 8:54 pm
I love the old TNT stuff with Hubie Brown. FSN also shows some good games. Looks like it's hsaping up to be a good year.
Good thing Bucks won't suck totally this year.
Sat Oct 22, 2005 12:16 am
So we get Bucks v whoever instead of Spurs v Cavs
Mon Oct 24, 2005 11:31 pm
No, we still get Spurs vs Cavs, but we'll get to see the Bucks/Nets game before that. Hard as it is to believe, we actually got a change for the better.
Mon Oct 24, 2005 11:38 pm
Okies....that's good. 2 is better than 1, but if anything i'd prefer the Cavs Spurs game.
Does anyone else here prefer the old TNT coverage that we got from TNT on Fox Sports. ESPN's advantage is they show highlights from other games and they have a halftime show. TNT though was more entertaining and the matches they showed were always more exciting than ESPN's.
Mon Oct 24, 2005 11:48 pm
I prefer TNT's team, no question. The random selection of broadcasts we used to get on FTA back in the day was even better in that regard.
Tue Oct 25, 2005 1:20 am
OMG a double header. We havent had one of those for bloody ages.
Tue Oct 25, 2005 10:57 am
FTA, havent heard that in a long time either, haha.
Tue Oct 25, 2005 11:46 pm
I hardly watch it anymore. No reason to.
Wed Oct 26, 2005 7:56 am
So we get a double header on the 5th of November ?
Wed Oct 26, 2005 2:28 pm
i think it's 2 seperate days, not a dbl header.
Wed Oct 26, 2005 6:33 pm
got the foxtel magazine yesterday
5 games in november (4 on saturday and 1 on thursday)
no milwaukee, which is weird...
no pistons
first game is cavs vs spurs, saturday 6th at 12pm...
Thu Oct 27, 2005 3:43 am
sweetness
so is there gonna be 2 games on opening week or not?
Thu Oct 27, 2005 4:39 pm

Thu Oct 27, 2005 4:54 pm
5th-
12th-

two relatively weak teams but there's iverson, kobe, odom, webber, iguadola so it might be a decent game
17th-
19th-

i like LeBron
26th-

always enjoy shaq making the Mavs his bitch
we should do some betting on these games all season.
Fri Oct 28, 2005 10:32 am
