Bali Bombings Leave 19 Dead, 51 Injured
AP - 1 hour, 7 minutes ago

BALI, Indonesia - Bombs exploded almost simultaneously Saturday in two tourist areas of the Indonesian resort island of Bali, killing at least 19 people and wounding 51 others, police and hospital officials said. The victims included at least two Americans. The blasts at Jimbaran beach and a bustling outdoor shopping center in downtown Kuta were the work of terrorists, Indonesian President Suslio Bambang Yudhoyono said. He also warned that more attacks were possible.

Terrorism will never stop. :cussing:

Horrible, just horrible.

I don't understand the people who are against the War on Terrorism. When things like this happen to innocent people for no reason, it justifies everything.

Those lives will not be forgotten, vengeance will be ours.

That's one thing that a lot of people don't understand. The War on Terrorism isn't just about protecting America, it's about protecting everyone. America isn't the only target for the terrorists, and it's evident when things like this happen.

Anyways, I don't want to turn it into a debate. So I'm going to stop talking about the War on Terror.

RIP.

Oh gees, another attack on Bali.... This wasn't as bad as October 12th bombings but it still left 19 dead.... RIP...

Now i know what the TV is going on about, showing ruins, i know it's the Bali bombing now.... shame on the terrorists...

Sun Oct 02, 2005 5:03 am

That's sad, sad, sad...
On the news they said a guy got shocked to death because a Japanes tourist's head got blasted off... :?

May God bless the Balians...

Condolences to everyone that lost a family member & that sucks for the government of Bali. :(

My condolences go out to the deceased and the family members. It's a shame that this has to happen.

Terrorism has always been around. In Spain, there's "minor" terrorist bombings that go on every week, but nobody talks about that. In my opinion, there's no way terrorism can be stopped, just as there will never be life without war. Does this whole situation of America doing something about stopping terrorism going to work? Maybe, maybe not. Is this whole situation actually causing more terrorist breeding grounds and "revenge" by the terrorists? Maybe, maybe not. There's more complications than a simple, "I stop this, then it will be stopped."

Like I said, I don't want to turn it into a debate but America has shut down numerous terrorist training camps and has uncovered terrorist plans.

The whole world has to work together to try and gather intelligence and try to bring down these terrorists. It's not something America can do by itself, but it's a noble thing to try.

I guess you could say, atleast they are trying. And we're making dents and progress in the middle east and other places in the world. Jihad will be a very, very bloody war.

Wouldn't the "War On Terrorism" be directed at terrorists, and not just people in Iraq? Iraq's not exactly the epicenter for World terrorist organisations.

Sun Oct 02, 2005 2:44 pm

"As long as their is people their will always be war."

What are you talking about?

There is a difference between the War in Iraq and the War on Terror. America is currently fighting two major wars.

To be honest, "The War On Terror" sounds like a load of horse shit.

Yeah, it probably is. We've only captured thousands of terrorists and hundreds of terrorist leaders.

Mon Oct 03, 2005 1:03 am

Yeah, and we've only had about 4 or 5 major terrorist attacks since causing hundreds of deaths. Go team!

Mon Oct 03, 2005 1:40 am

Team America theme song plays...

America...
America...
America, FUCK YEAH!
Coming again, to save the mother fucking day yeah,
America, FUCK YEAH!
Freedom is the only way yeah,
Terrorist your game is through cause now you have to answer too,
America, FUCK YEAH!
So lick my butt, and suck on my balls,
America, FUCK YEAH!
What you going to do when we come for you now,
it’s the dream that we all share; it’s the hope for tomorrow

Would those attacks happen with or without the War on Terror? Probably.

It's called war. America and it's allies are fighting back against the terrorist instead of sitting around and letting the terrorists plot without any thought or worry on their mind.

There will be more attacks too because it's impossible to prevent all attacks from happening. But America and it's allies are trying and have foiled a few terrorist attack plans. They've captured some very key Al-Queda and other terrorist organizations leaders. The hunt for Bin Laden is still going on. We need to find him for a moral and PR reason but honestly, finding Bin Laden really doesn't do much in the actual War on Terror. All it does is say "hey, we can catch Bin Laden so we can catch you too" to the other leaders who are on the run.

This "war on terrorism" is being portrayed like the biggest event on this earth. That's bullshit.

If they really wanna fight terrorism, why not invade Indonesia...they have a breeding ground for terrorists.

Mon Oct 03, 2005 1:42 am

Team America World Police is one of the worst movies i've ever seen but it's funny because it's a parody :?

... I think the death toll is 26 now..

It's only being portrayed as the biggest event on earth when you keep whining and bitching about it.

Are you serious? Before 9/11, exactly how many major terrorist attacks do you recall in such a short period of time happening to prominent countries?
