I used rape to accentuate the trading of dead bodies as being wrong. I suppose it was a bad example that's why I threw the Coolmac one in.

Let's use a moral example. Your mom died. I took pictures of her dead body. I gave it to Pastor Ramsay for child porn because I have cancer & will die tomorrow. Correct? No.

Tis as simple as that. You don't think it's wrong, fine with me. Just don't justify it to make it look like because they are about to die, it's an alrighty thing to do. No matter what the situation, it is & will remain wrong.

I'm not saying because they are in a deadly situation that it's ok, I'm just saying remember the sacrafice they are making right now. Getting upset at them over something SILLY like this seems insane to me.

If it was something that I felt was serious, like rape or murder, I would be upset. But I mean come on, it really isn't that big of deal.

And some of those young men and women signed up for the National Guard expecting to help in disasters and other stuff. I doubt they expected they'd be going to war. That's not an excuse, but it is another way to look at it.

I think it's just further evidence that not every US Army soldier is a little angel, who polishes his halo everynight... although they're certainly polishing something if this is the case. Some people are fuckwits, and no this isn't a representation of the entire US Army but why defend these people?

I was watching a particular Michael Moore film which showed footage of US soldiers standing over an Iraqi prisoner and taking turns touching his dick, I mean, what the fuck? Sexual frustration you say, was that the special gay sector that they employ just to make everything look pretty after it's been blown up? I'm with Jackal on this one.

Nobody said these guys are angels, most of them are far from it.

And some soldiers are just fucktards, but you know what? None of them are as big of a fucktard as Michael Moore.

Well yeah that's indisputable, but still, the footage was bad.

Fri Sep 30, 2005 11:09 am

Yeah, there have been a few "mishaps" from the US Armed Forces over the years.

Fri Sep 30, 2005 11:19 am

Riot, please don't try to remotely justify this. This is equally as bad, if not worse, as when photos were leaked from the prison camps with Iraqi prisoners tied onto leashes with sheets over their heads. That was against the law, in direct violation of the Geneva Convention.

In my opinion, this is worse. First the bodies aren't even alive, making the situation even more grotesque. Second, these soldiers did all of this so they could get their hands on pornography. Ever heard of wacking off without it? It's not that hard.

And don't act like you didn't start defending the US Army right off the bat when those intelligent aren't stupid enough to judge an entire organization on the actions of a few of their unintellectual.

I lose respect for those who did this, save my respect for those who didn't.

Fri Sep 30, 2005 11:26 am

Yeah, that's pretty much the only point I wanted to get across. The US army is doing the right stuff but there is wrong stuff going on aswell. Let's just hope it's more right than wrong. :)

Fri Sep 30, 2005 12:25 pm

I don't understand how this is worse than the prison "scandel".

As for wacking off without porn, do you think you could do it in a warzone without some kind of pornography? What would you think about? You haven't seen a decent looking woman for a year, you see people blowing up next to you, you are in a different country and culture, you are working practically non-stop, you miss your family, you can't get the sight of your buddy getting blown to pieces by a car bomb.

Shit, you're right. With all that going on, I'd totally be able to wack off! :|

What I dont get is why the people who had the porn to begin with would give away their porn for pics of dead bodies :| unless they are into that kind of thing

Well supposedly it was to verify that they(the troops) were really soldiers, but I think what they did with them, putting them up on the site and guessing which body part it was, was completely wrong.

For the reasons I stated.

Then you'd think there'd be a lot more on their minds than masterbation.

Sun Oct 02, 2005 12:31 am

Could you go a year without any masterbation or sexual release?

Sun Oct 02, 2005 12:56 am

I did, till I was 11. :P

Sun Oct 02, 2005 1:59 am

during a war the last thing on your mind should be sexual pleasure. That's a weakness of character.

A lot of religious people do, and they can go till they're 40 or for the rest of their life! :o

If that's not weakness of character, I don't know what is.

Sun Oct 02, 2005 3:26 am

Let's see, most of them are 18-24 year old guys who are in the prime of their sexual lives. I'll give you guys room to talk if you can go a year without masterbation.

Bottom line: They have the right to masterbate, write a letter to their family, eat McDonald's, ect on their free time in Iraq. Trading dead body pictures for porn? Bad. However, it was the only way they could convince the website that they were really soldiers. :|

Yeah, the US Army is horrible. I mean, they are working 16 hour shifts where they could be blown up at any second and they haven't seen their familes for months. Give them a break.

You are forgetting the insurgents who are blowing up innocent Iraqi civilians and US soldiers. What the Americans are doing is so bad. I mean, looking at porn...horrible. Oh wait, they are all over 18!

So how about you shut up? Or can American troops not do anything remotely fun for over a year while their lives are on the line? Could you go a year without masterbating? Could you masterbate in a shithole, warzone like Iraq right now without some kind of pornography? I doubt it. :x

Huh?
My fathers a war vet, I have two friends fighting in Iraq. I have the utmost respect for Soldiers but the army in general is messed up. Nobody gets trained properly and their strapping 'kids' with guns and expecting them to fight war.

Just because their fighting a war doesnt mean they can go around taking pictures of dead people and using it to get back viewing pleasure. Those arent respectable soldiers, they are a disgrace to everything that the army teaches or well what they are suppose to teach.

What your posts says itself shows what people think of the army now, that soldiers should be allowed to do what they want and doing something like this is ok. Why dont you ask a real soldier what he thinks about it and no Im not talking about your friends at school that wear army pants and carry guns and think they know about war.

Sun Oct 02, 2005 3:44 am

Could you be any more ignorant? I have a pretty good friend who just came back from Iraq. My math teacher last year was in the Army and fought in Bosnia.

I don't know what real soldiers are? I think soldiers can do whatever they want? Are you serious? Have you read any of my posts? I think what they did was wrong and they certainly can do wrong, but I seriously had an issue with you calling them "crooked" over this.

So why don't you sit down and shut up and go talk to your war vet father about how a soldier really should act. I'm sorry that I don't think trading dead body photos for porn is worse than the prison scandel. I'm sorry that I really don't think it's that big of a deal. I'm sorry that your two friends are in Iraq. I'm sorry that I "don't know what a real soldier thinks".

Those soldiers are a disgrace? They took photos of dead people for god's sake. Lol, that's all they did. They traded those in TO SHOW THAT THEY WERE REAL SOLDIERS. Holy hell, give them a break. Disgrace? You don't know anything about them. Personally, I think they have more respect, courgage and discipline than you'll ever have.
