That Murphy Lee one is pretty bad man. Sorry, the background and picture don't fit together well even though they are the same basic colours.
That KG one though looks very good. Try using some blurred overlay layers or a curves adjustment layer to give it a little extra something/

Before I had the trial version of Adobe Photoshop 9. Now I have Adobe Photoshop 8. Thanks for the comments man!
