NEW YORK KNICKS DYNASTY


Well guys, it appears I have chosen the New York Knickerbockers to be my one and only team for Live 2006. This might come as a shock to a few of you as I'm not a Knicks' fan per se. However, I like the challenge that the Knicks' roster and situation presents, and should be a sharp contrast to my dynasty last year.

I will try to keep this dynasty as active as humanly possible given my work and personal life obligations. As with my 'Cats dynasty, I encourage feedback, whether it's on how good or bad this dynasty is and whether there is any way that I could improve it for you guys.

Sliders: My Own
Rosters: My Own

I will be playing 1/3 of my games, intervening in 4th quarter of 1/3 of my games, and simming the rest.


NLSC PLAYERS:

NLSC-ers must have a cyberface first before I will consider them into this dynasty. NLSC and dynasty veterans, especially those who followed and participated in my Bobcats' dynasty in Live '05, will receive preference as far as draft classes go.

The NLSC players that I already have cyberfaces for with Live '05 will immediately be frontrunners in my future draft classes as I transfer the cyberfaces across to Live '06.


DRAFT CLASSES:

As with my dynasty last year, I will dbf-edit draft classes to bring in future draft prospects. However, I will only bring in top prospects as it is very time consuming dbf-editing 65 draft prospects. I'm expecting that the 2006 draft class contains about 10 real life college prospects, about 5 Euro prospects, about 5-10 NLSC prospects (the older guys will probably be in 1st class for the obvious ageing reasons) and the rest will be random generics like "That Guy" and so on. I think this should work well.

cheers....I hope so too, but we'll see....I'm sure there will be turbulent times in the upcoming season or two....as for the pic, yep, Nate is very explosive....his role will likely be backup PG and a sparkplug off bench, but this is still Marbury's team, so don't expect to see him getting major minutes anytime soon....as for the pic quality, my game isn't maxed out, had to tone down some detail settings, but found a pretty solid mix between performance and graphics

almost forgot to mention the status of this dynasty....I've still got to finalise the rosters, which means I have to add Wayne Simien, Monta Ellis and a few of the 2nd Round guys, as well as bringing their cyberfaces across....will play a few games to tweak sliders as well before getting into it

I'll see if I can find their portraits although I didn't think either of those guys were in the game....if not, I'm not a portrait maker....I'll have a look though....

very, very, very unlikely....All-Rookie 2nd Team would be a very strong rookie season for him I'd say


going go work on game and rosters now in the meantime I'll have to think up some realism constraints for this dynasty, e.g. no dealing of core of team in 1st season, bring rookies along slowly to begin with, no dealing of highly priced, undersized PF's to teams with cap space unless it heavily favours them and/or I throw in a draft pick or something....anymore ideas on this front?!?
