Bundle her into the bushes an... oh I already used that one.

Mon Sep 26, 2005 3:56 pm

this is quiet expensive but here goes

 buy her a new cellphone
 save a message on the phone about askin her out
 give the phone to her saying its your extra phone and you have no use for it
 wait till she reads the message and see her reaction

$10 says youve done that COOLMac lol. jk, your not getting my money lol.

Just ask her man. buy her some flowers (roses) and then just go somewhere away from everyone and ask her.

good luck anyway.

be civil at first. talk about the lost time. then ask what she's been doing this past couple of years. if she has no family yet nor BF, then you can be sure she is up for grabs. let your charm work. shyness will get you nowhere.

EDIT: dean where shall i send you the 10 bucks? :D

Mon Sep 26, 2005 4:15 pm

If you were asking her to marry you I'd tell you to get creative. Just talk to her and do like your username says, be smoove.[/crappy joke]

Mon Sep 26, 2005 4:18 pm

hahahaha lovin it guys, keep it pouring

Mon Sep 26, 2005 5:01 pm

well, before you ask her out to the dance you gotta know id she worth it, so ask her if she puts out on the first date :D

Mon Sep 26, 2005 5:01 pm

Best thing to do is find out what kinda things she likes ie. sports, music, movies.. and build a friendly relationship with her.. then move in for hte kill and take her to the bushes. Oh wait.. mentioned before.

Mon Sep 26, 2005 5:42 pm

where did these bushes talk evolved from?

far as i can remember i have experienced it

Mon Sep 26, 2005 6:31 pm

be smooth
girls like a guy with confidence
what you might do might not be original, but as long as you can pull if off smoovely and with confidence, pretty sure she'll say yes.

unless you look like the star wars kid

Mon Sep 26, 2005 7:08 pm

@ CMac:
How did i know? lol.

Mon Sep 26, 2005 7:42 pm

make her laugh, make her comfortable, broach the topic of the dance, do it....if you do ask her, ask her with confidence....no hesitation and/or fear in your voice....if a girl hears that, they tend to think either you are a woosy (sp?) or that you don't really like them....

Mon Sep 26, 2005 8:09 pm

I seriously think CMac's idea is good, but obviously too expensive....
Try and think of something like that.

If you know this person pretty well, it should be easy, and if shes ugly, it should be even easier! So, if you know her, just ask...if you dont, I got nothin' for that.

But, the #1 rule! No matter what, do not tell her about this thread.

"If you wanna make your move...you gotta play it...cooool...."

(How many more until I've officially watched The Simpsons too much?)

On a slightly more helpful note, I think a confident and casual approach would be the best way to go if it's a "just friends" deal.

Mon Sep 26, 2005 10:19 pm

You have to find somewhere appropriate for the "Your home smells of feces" line. Then it's too much.

"Ooh, a challenge!"

I'd have to agree though. I'm lost for an appropriate time to make that reference. It's probably also too much when you can conduct an entire conversation through Simpsons references.

Mon Sep 26, 2005 10:53 pm

Some random animal just came into my house and did a crap right on my lounge. does anyone know what my house smells like? its beyond me.....

Mon Sep 26, 2005 10:54 pm

My guess would be most unpleasant.

Mon Sep 26, 2005 11:01 pm

I set it right up for you to use the line, and you left it!

Mon Sep 26, 2005 11:20 pm

If its just a friend then all you should do is casually ask her out for the homecoming, something in the lines of 'will you be my date for the homecoming'.

If she says no, then I guess you can always go alone.

Mon Sep 26, 2005 11:30 pm

haha, three Simpsons references in one night, that's incredible, Andrew. I don't even know a single Simpsons line, and I've been watching that show for years.

Smoove: Throw a couple pebbles at her bedroom window to gently wake her up. Seranade her with a love song using your guitar outside the house. After the song's over, take a ladder and proceed to climb up to her window. If she doesn't let you in, take a rock and smash the window open. After the break and enter and the screaming subsides, you then can ask her to the dance (y)

(Y) That oughta work!
Just as long as she stops screaming before either:
a/ Her dad comes chasing with a baseball bat
b/ She calls the cops
c/ all of the above

Just ask her casually! If she says no, its no biggie; you'll get over it and so will she. At least she will know your intentions. Just make sure your confident, your obviously pretty sure she'll say yes, so whats there to lose? Oh yeah, and make sure you do it in person and not over the phone (or via an internet forum haha) to show her that your willing to take a potentially akward move to show that you like her, if that makes any sense ( don't know how else to write that, it's too late).

Ty-land
