I don't get nervous either, but I've only played elementary ball since I just started High School. I'm just really confident in my shot and knowing that I have that weapon helps me when I step on the court. I know when my team relies on me that I can hit shots or drive in or shut down the opposition's offensive force. So, I don't get nervous, just excited and confident and pumped.

i usually dont get nervous before games because i have a good team. im the point guard and i know that if i get in trouble i can just pass it down low to our star center, but at the same time if i can beat my man and drive to the basket, the coach gives me the freedom to do so.

Fuck, I get so nervous during fastbreaks...
Especially when I'm all alone, this afternoon I just missed a fuckin' wide open fastbreak lay up...

@ Cloudy, i often fuck up fast breaks, however its because my back board has no bounce, so on glass backboards, its like im playing with a bouncy ball. (not a bouncy basketball, but one of those super bounce things you get out of those shitty put in $2 get a toy pieces of crap)

and too share a tale, theres this deadset toolbag/fuckbag at my school. Everything about him you would hate. Looks gay, acts gay, sounds gay, thinks hes good, isnt good, reckons he is the star on his team, a fly could handle the ball better. everyone hates this kid. Anyway, he was on a wide open fast break, noone with in half court, and anyway, he goes up thinking hes hard, and goes for a layup. then the tool bag hits the front of the rim, and it dead set bounces back to the end of the court were standing at laughing at the stupid sum'bitch. hahahaha. stupid mo'fo.

and speaking of flies, (see 'a fly could handle the ball better') theres this guy on the other team, whos quite similar to the fucktard on our team, and hes also on a fast break. hes about 6'5" odd foot. he wears the goggles, horace grant style. looks fucking rediculous (sp?) and anyway, as i said, hes on the fast break, going to the rim hard. Out of shear dislike for this guy, i decide 'nup, this fucker aint doin shit', so i sprint after him, when he hits about half court. at 6'3" im a fairly quick little bugger, so i manage to catch him, but not before he goes up. So trying to be another hero, he goes for the dunk. Flying up the court, and make a huge leap, just from the bottom of the circle (FT Line, closest to baseline) and block the SHIT out of his dunk, no foul called.

I got blocked from behind by a girl once

I'm 6'5, she was about 5'4 and ran around the court doing the typical girl thing "OMG IIIIIII BLOCKED YOU IIIIIIIII BLOCKED YOU". If she wasn't attractive I might've just flattened her on the next play

when i played basketball, didn't really get nervous, just superstitious.. had to go through same routine everyday before game.

these days for ultimate frisbee, and xc, i do get nervous, for xc is easy, just nervous how fast i will be able to run and stuff

for frisbee last year i was unofficial captain cause both of our captains went down mid season, and i made some mistakes that cost us games, and i remember being really nervous cause the pressure of being a captain, even if t he coach said nothing, you can tell by the way he talks to you and is always telling to tell people what to do...

I do when i play on school teams, but playing with my friend in frotn of a lot of people no. Yesterday, my friends n i playd a series best out of 7, and we won in game six. I sunk like 44/50 shots. and i play PG/SG

I get nervous all the time. But the best thing to do is line up 10-15 rails of coke and its over.

Actually she was taller than me. I think she was about 6'2" she was a center on the other team. I went up for a short one-handed jumper, and she just put her hand up in the air, jumped and tapped away my shot. It wasn't a monster block, but all the guys were like, "OHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"

I know a guy who got blocked by a girl 3 times in one game But the girl was huge! She probably was 15 cms taller than the poor guy.

I didn't realise she was there, I was standing about 2ft from the hoop and I just casually tried to shoot the ball off the board with 1 hand without jumping and she came flying in from behind me and blocked it. I got the ball back and scored because it didn't go out, but I haven't heard the end of it since. I did dunk on a girl in England, so I guess it's karma or something.

haha, i really love the game of basketball, i would go out and play everyday, im about 5 foot a little under and this year im trying out for the team (Please god let me make the cut!!!!)

I get nervous before games, but once I'm playing the game the nervousness is completely gone and I just let my instincts take care throughout the game. It's just like playing in my backyard when I'm in action.

If you're that good you should know how to play people after a couple of possessions anyways.

this remind me of the scrimmages me and the soccer team had back in HS. we played mix sexes with our womens team. then it started to rain very hard. all i can see were great wet legs and harden nipples. damn my supporter almost break that afternoon. even our goalie left the goal to play mid field the memories.
