i like spacey as the selection as lex luther- he comes off as very intelligent and after seeing his portrayal of john doe in 'se7ven', i have no doubts of him being able to be sinister

haha.. batman isn't even a "super hero", he has no special powers. he's just some rich freak with some cool gadgets who lives in a cave. maybe if he had the guts to actually go through some therapy, he'd move on from this whole dark knight business

His weakness is that he's mentally unstable. It's usually seen more in the graphic novels than in the comics. A few example when Batman "crossed the line" are: Batman permanently breaks some villain's knee caps by kicking it intentionally, piercing a spear through Croc (Batman doesn't really care if Croc is dead or not), shoving a guy in a wheelchair off the stairs, and that was just in one story.
His mental instability is one of the reasons why the original Robin left, and why Alfred quit, temporarily though. In short, he's one crazy messed up mofo.

Also, him being human isn't a bad weakness...

Oh yeah, no superpowers. Forgot about the time when he was paralyzed from the waist down by Bane. No sex for billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.
Batman is also 1 of 2 people to always carry Kryptonite (the other one is Lex Luthor), how's that for crazy.

in F.Miller's Dark Knight Returns he also snorts up speed when he gets beaten up... tortures villains... and he beats the shit out of Superman... though he gets the shit beaten out of him too I guess... all in all, Batman is much more interesting than Superman... Although I do hope the new flick is good... they've got a good director behind it.
