Blazers.com wrote:Portland Trail Blazers President and General Manager Bob Whitsitt announced today that Zach Randolph has been suspended for two games without pay and fined an additional $100,000 for his conduct at practice yesterday.
Randolph will miss tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz and Friday’s contest at Golden State. He will be eligible to return to the team for its game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, April 6.
“While these types of disagreements happen in practice during the course of a season due to the physical and competitive nature of basketball, this instance crossed the line and this type of behavior will not be tolerated by our organization without the individuals being held accountable for their actions,” Whitsitt said.
Silly Zach, I wonder what it was. A disagreement? A fight?

Well if he punched ruben patterson I don't see what all the fuss is about. Everyone punches him.

okay, i live in portland and here's what happened: ruben and qyntel woods (our rookie that just got busted for possession) got in a little argument over the ball going out of bounds during scrimage. zack being a really good bud of qyntel came over to defend q and then for some reason threw a punch and hit ruben right in the eye. zack and ruben "made up" and said they don't have problem with each other and never will. however, because of zack's behavior he'll miss the next two games. it's too bad because we needed him bad tonight and we needed a full ruben too. i was at the game and it was pretty good, but i could tell the blazers needed both ruben and zack really really bad because they bring in so much energy which is what they needed tonight.
