I hope you're trading for a shotblocker, so far you had a total of two blocks in three games.

I see you strengthened up your team on the inside and got a win. You know, a best of three series in the playoffs might be a bit too short. You still have time to change it.

TRADE!!!

Chicago Gets:

New Jersey Gets:

The Nets were 4 M over the salary cap and Nets GM was trying to get it down. He traded newly acquired Troy Murphy and a veteran Jason Collins for the powerful Eddy Curry and a Point Guard Jannero Pargo.

"I never thought that I would end up in New Jersey(laughs)" - said Eddy.

"I haven't even bought an appartment and i'm already moving!" - said Troy Murphy.

Eddy averaged 16.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last season with the Bulls. He was one of their go to guys on offense. He had one of the best field goal percentages in the league last year with .538. Jannero Pargo played for Chicago for 2 years and had some good averages for a 3rd PG on the team.

"I'm really happy that I made this trade, Eddy will help us inside with his power. Jannero will be our 3rd point guard, I wish them best of luck and a good year" - said New Jersey GM.

Maybe he is the only one that can score on his team.....i love the trade...keep it up

Mon Aug 29, 2005 7:37 am

That's the only explanation, but the team overall can't score anyways.

Mon Aug 29, 2005 7:54 am

Good trade, Eddy Curry is a monster on the offensive end and should give you a couple of blocks as well. (Y)

Are you kidding?^ He's usually there because other than Boozer, that's all the Jazz have. Interesting to see Kobe and Lamar go 1-2 for the MVP Candidates. The Lakers must be having a fine season. (N)

STARTING LINEUPS
New Jersey Nets
C Eddy Curry
PF Ike Diogu
SF Richard Jefferson
SG Vince Carter
PG Jason Kidd

Detroit Pistons
C Ben Wallace
PF Rasheed Wallace
SF Tayshaun Prince
SG Rick Hamilton
PG Chauncey Billups

All of the season followers wondered why Detroit is struggling with 1-5. The answer is simple - they play horrible defense. Looks like the addition of coach Saunders made them worse. The Nets held a comfortable lead most of the game and won. Vince Carter was the best player on the team with 36 points. Jason Kidd added 27 with 8 assists and 5 steals. Newly Acquired Eddy Curry had a double double with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Ike Diogu also with a double double with 11 points and 18 rebounds. Jefferson had an OK game with 14.The Pistons didn't put up a big show tonight. Hamilton finished with 39 ponits, while Billups added 24 with 5 assists. The Nets are doing great after thouse 2 trades and are starting to catch on fire. Now they're heading home to play with Gilbert Arenas and the Wizards.
