Thanks to everyone for tuning in. I've decided to go 56 games... so i play every team twice. As far as the Starters go, I will play some preseason games with the team and see how the guys do! Michael Finley might join Miami cuase they still got the 6M dollar exception and Spree might go to Denver, so I really gotta wait!

Well, if Walker doesn't start, maybe there's gonna be a trade later? *hint hint*

Anyways... enjoy ur days fellas as I got two more exams and on Thursday; if i get my license, I will play the first game!

To Weaver: Yeah man... but I still hate them... But I guess the Heat make enjoyable viewing and it was either this or the Wolves... and it's more realistic to get the Heat to the Finals than the KG Wolves for this season... I'm all bout realism :)

Dont worry Sit, ive got some ideas for a comeback, wether it be in my Bucks dynasty or another idea me and my mate have had.

Damn if the Boks win the tri-nations two years running then something must be wrong. But it will be a tough ask with Carter and Jerry Collins out.

I still think you should keep Toine on the bench, you starting line-up needs to be balanced and Posey brings far more D than Toine and Haslem brings more hustle.

I look forward to the start of the season.

Miami in Finley Sweepstakes
Will the former Dallas star sign with the Heat?

29 Aug, Miami – Former Dallas Captain Michael Finley has finally auditioned for the Miami Heat. Miami have access to the full mid level exception, to use on Finley are expected to nab the hot commodity from the Free Agency market.

Finley practiced in Chicago, in front of executives from the San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat; all teams vying for the services of the 32 year old swingman who was waived by Dallas. He showed the suitors that he still had what it takes to play as Finley made jumper after jumper and made a couple of surprising dunks.

Kevin Garnett who was there on business grounds was surprised, “I didn’t know Mike still had that much energy in him.” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was impressed by the form of the swingman, “It’s great to see him (Finley) playing well. He will be an asset to any team.”

Finley is reportedly looking for a destination that will give him the highest chance of winning a championship ring. Many analysts have also pointed out that the shooting guard is also looking for a decent amount of playing time and money. “Even though the Mavericks still owe him money, it’s logical that if Mike has two different teams bidding for him and they are both quality clubs, he’d take the one with the bigger contract,” his agent said.

Miami’s new director of player movement Will Sit had met with Finley and later said, “Mike’s considering our team at the moment. Obviously, there are other teams who will give him more burn on the court but as far as that ring and money goes, we’re tops!” Finley is expected to choose Miami as the chances of signing with a West Coast team were minimized by rumors that he had agreed with Dallas to go to the Eastern Conference.

Finely was present in Chicago with other free agents Eddy Curry and Damon Jones. Curry who experienced heart problems late last year hasn’t received the lucrative contract he had thought would come automatically after the Bulls’ postseason. Damon Jones turned down a contract extension to pursue and consider other opportunities in the free agent market.

Cavs Grab First Preseason Win for 05
Washington loses 94-81 to LeBron and Co.

10 Oct, Washington DC – LeBron James and his newest teammates put on a show in capital city against the Wizards who looked lost for most of the night. James paced his team with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists while ex-Wizard Larry Hughes and Donyell Marshall added 21 points apiece.

Newly acquired Wizard Caron Butler was mediocre in his first game since scoring 21 ppg in the final 12 games of the LA Lakers’ season. The swingman scored 14 points on a horrendous 6 for 18 from the field. Antawn Jamison pulled in 12 rebounds to go with 16 points and Gilbert Arenas led his team with 25 points.

The Cavaliers fended off a Wizards’ 12-2 run late in the game and held off the home team from any type of upset. “This is the type of first game any team would want and since it’s the first game of any official NBA game, it’s even better for this squad’s morale,” R’n’B superstar and team minority owner Usher stated.

Hawks Still Ain’t Strong Enough
Marvin Williams shoots woefully, Hawks fall 113-87

11 Oct, Orlando – Former Tar Heel sixth man Marvin Williams didn’t debut up to the standard of his number two overall draft pick billing. The Hawks’ rookie forward struggled to reach 9 points and 3 rebounds as veteran Grant Hill played stifling defense on the youngster.

Steve Francis recorded a triple double of 17 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists and Dwight Howard hammered his way towards a final score sheet of 32 points and 18 rebounds. Grant Hill chipped in 23 points and had 5 steals.

Joe Johnson scored a team high 22 points and looked good in his first game as a full time point guard as he added a respectable 6 assists on only 1 turnover. Al Harrington played well thanks to his new teammate as he finished with 20 and 11. Johnson donned a protective face mask and stated that he would be wearing it for the duration of the full season.

Josh Smith wasn’t pleased with the team’s performance though and made it clear in a post game interview saying, “We have a team with players who are good enough to win but no one is putting in the effort to do it.” Smith finished on 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Shawn Marion Strikes a Dagger Through Spurs’ Hearts
Marion scores 15 fourth quarter points, leads Suns to 111-105 win

12 Oct, Phoenix – Shawn Marion scored 15 of his 36 points and Amare Stoudamire held Tim Duncan in check as the Suns came back for an emphatic win over the defending NBA champions.

Amare scored a monster 25 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks, Steve Nash added 19 points and 13 assists and Raja Bell made 5 three pointers to lead the Suns to a dramatic win. The Suns showed fans that they could still win without backcourt duo Joe Johnson and Quentin Richardson.

“We can still shoot the three,” Marion told reporters, “Joe and Q used to be our three shooters but now we got Raja who handled it real well tonight.” Amare needed to get used to having less space to work with, “Joe and Q really opened up the court more. Now I need to play the pick and roll more often to get the rock.”

Tim Duncan, last season’s Finals MVP scored 28 points for his team but struggled in the final quarter; shooting 1 for 7. Manu Ginobili added 25 points while Tony Parker, the Euroleague MVP scored 21 points and dished out 9 assists. Spurs’ coach Gregg Popovich was happy with the team’s play, “Considering how everyone is out of form, we did well against a young run and gun team like the Suns.”
