PRE-GAME::
Image @ Image

Houston Rockets Record:: 4-1

Dallas Mavericks Record:: Forgot to look it up, sorry.

Key Match-Up:: Tracy McGrady VS Jerry Stackhouse
Image---VS---Image

This should be a tough match-Up but I think I have the defense to take the Win. With Yao's height he can rebound over Dampier, Stro will get out played by Dirk, but I think Stro can slow him down, TMac should be able to take Stackhouse. So I think if I loose it will be close, if I win, it'll be by alittle.

Awsome thanks {SAC-1} appreciate it man. Yea I would think he would too, but in GAME life, since Hughes is on the Cavs maybe that slowed him down. But he averaged 10rpg!!!. BTW what does POTM mean?

The Rockets went back on the road today. They had to face one of there rivals, the Mavs. You would think this would be a high scoring game, well it wasnt. Not untill the Mavs lit the Rockets up. The start of the 4th quarter the score was 64-63 Rockets. The Mavs went on a huge run. 12-1 run. That pretty much killed the Rockets because Finley was hitting treys left and right after that. The Mavs took the 4th quarter away out scoring the Rockets 14-29. The final score was 78-92. Just go down for the box scores.

Image Stats

C - Yao Ming - 17/13/1/5

Rockets Make The First Trade in the Season

Today Rockets GM Shaun Callahan announced he has traded SG David Wesley and PG Charlie Ward to the Minnesota Timberwolves. In exchange, the Rockets have recieved C Ervin Johnson and SF Bobby Simmons.

"We think this is a very good trade. Wesley wasn't getting playing time, and Ward didnt play yet. We have to many points and shooting guards, and we really needed another SF." GM Shaun Callahan had to say that.

Wesley, who was averaging 3.1ppg, 1.2rpg, and 1.2apg only played 9.5 mpg. Ward, never played a game this year. On the other hand, Bobby Simmons has averaged 9ppg, 0.3rpg, and 1.2 apg in only 19.5mpg. And Johnson hasnt plaed a game either.

Coach Van Gundy says "I think it was a smart move. Now McGrady can move to the 2 spot and basically, dominate. Hes 6'8" for a SF he was dominating. But now at the 2 spot he will take it to another level I think. Simmons on the other hand, I think he has loads of potential. He needs the right coach. I think I can help him alot, and so cant Shaun (Callahan)."

GM Shaun Callahan was asked about Ervin Johnsons playing time he said "Well, we will probally waive him. He wont be getting playing time, and he was part of the deal so salary would match."

What does everyone think of this trade?? Ill put a poll in please vote.

BTW this is pissing me off. With TMac, I get open looks and I miss them wtf! I release the ball perfectly and it gets annoying because hes deadly from the floor, one of the best jump shooters. Anyone know what thats all about??? Anyways PLEASE VOTE

Trade Press Conferance

Reporter - "Coach Van Gundy, whos going to start at the SF position, the SG position and the PG position"

Image - "Our new lineup will be Simmons at the 3, McGrady at the 2, and Anderson at the 1."

Reporter - "Are you thinking of invloving Sura in a trade then?"
Image - "Absolutley not, we think he will be a tremendous spark off the bench. Unless a team offers us a trade that will make the team better, than yes. But this season, he wont be moved."

Reporter - "Shaun(Callahan) do you plan on making anyother trades soon?"
Image - Not right now. Unless our team falls below .500% then most likley. But as of right now, I think were stacked. Defensivly and Offensivly. McGrady will be deadly now. And Simmons will be great."[/i]

Reporter - "Bobby (Simmons) how do you feel about the trade?"
Image - "I feel great, I think this team will be amazing. When I read an article that the Rockets were interested in Redd, Maggette, and myself, I was excited and hoping I might go to Houston. Now I have Yao, McGrady an a great coaching staff. Already they have made me feel comfortable."

Reporter - "Are you nervous on your first game tomorrow?"
Image "Well alittle. Its always hard being welcomed to a new arena, and getting into a differant system. But Ill get used to it, and I cant wait."

Reporter - "Mr.Callahan, what do you plan on doing with Ervin (Johnson)?"
Image "Were still not sure. His salary is pretty big for a player who hasnt played a game so far in the season, we plan on waiving him, but we aren't 100% sure. Thanks for your time everyone."
