Mr. Haso and Mr. Bickerstaff were both incredibly chocked over the news they got a couple of hours ago!
But first the good news... Charlotte Bobcats had a brilliant offseason! Latrell decided he has more to give in the world of basketball, he signed a two year contract with the Bobcats. Also Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Eddie Griffin, Emeka Okafor, Greg Buckner, Steven Hunter, Dajuan Wagner and Travis Outlaw resigned with the 'Cats, the biggest story being Zydrunas signing for 2 years, Eddie signing for a 4 year deal and Mek who signed the maximum of a 70, 6 year contract (really it was seven,

Then the Haso magic kicked in once again! He started negotiations with the Dallas Mavericks as expected even though Latrell was back in the team; And a 3 team trade was accomplished!
The Bobcats send:
Joe Johnson 76, Greg Buckner 64,

To Dallas for:
Jerry Stackhouse 85

And:
Lorenzen Justice 69
To Denver for:
Andre Miller 65

Justice for Miller was done for salary cap purposes only, the Bobcats reluctantly let him go...
The Newest 'Cats:

Matin's comments about the trade: "We were very happy to bring in these two players inte our organization. They are two experienced guys who can only help us building this team to a constant Championship threat. Jerry is just a perfect fir for us, he shoots the ball really well, he's really aggressive, a solid defender, he pribes himself on his defense to fuel his offense, and he's one of the best in the league at getting to the rim and operate. He just a terrific allround player. Andre provides us with a strong combo-guard with lots of experience, he can put in big minutes night in and night out, he will be a key factor for us off the bench."
The team was looking marvelous and everything was going great for the upcoming season... but then the chocking news hit the staff... Mr. Haso and Mr. Bickerstaff were both incredibly chocked over the news they got a couple of hours ago. The economics department of the team has screwed up every payment from last season including revenues and trip costs, this puts the Bobcats in serious debt...
In a statement earlier that evening David Stern announced that the board had ruled Charlotte must act on this now; in conclusion they had to release 5 of their players

"Of course this will be an incredible test of endurance by the ten guys remaining in the team, but the worst thing of all is that we need to loose 5 guys, and all of these guys deserve to be here.
So the following players were released by the Bobcats:
Travis Outlaw 51, Dajuan Wagner 50, Steven Hunter 54, Marcel Higgs 47 and Jonathan Li 39
The remaining roster is now:
C- Samuel Dalembert 70
PF- Emeka Okafor 85
SF- Latrell Sprewell 66
SG- Jerry Stackhouse 85
PG- Dwayne Wade 94
6- Eddie Griffin 70
7- Andre Miller 65
8- Zydrunas Ilgauskas 65
9- Chris Milacic 61
10- Serge Newbill 59
This will without a doubt be the biggest test a basketball franchise has ever met. I really feel for the Champs in their hour of need. But just hang in there, and prey that you make it safely 'til next season!
