the thing I hate the most in life is being accused of something I did....whoever said I told Dweaver how to hack, is dead wrong....this is ridiculous, I wouldn't know the first thing about hacking....my computer is crawling my viruses and spyware from having no knowledge....

the facts:

I received one email from Dweaver after his banning asking if I could see if I could find out what was going on and help him out....I pm-ed Legend and cyanide as per his request (although Dweaver, I believe I forgot to mention to them to email you)....I also pm-ed Andrew and Jae about the matter....this pm was a personal pm and had nothing to do with Dweaver's email....I did it to see what had happenned and if I could help the situation because I believed it had been blown out of proportion....the only other person I talked about this to was Sit who was on MSN that night I pm-ed those other two....that's where the supports dweaver came from....maybe Sit gathered some support, I dunno....but that's where my involvement ends, apart from another couple of pms to Jae and Andrew and one more email from Dweaver about a day or so ago....

Jackal....I wouldn't know the 1st thing about hacking....why don't you hack my computer (like I'm sure some of the NLSC members already have) to check that I have no hacking software (avoid any porn though   )

"the truth shall set us free"

Thu Aug 04, 2005 4:32 pm

I don't think anyone really thinks you were involved in the hacking part. At least you weren't what I had in mind.

Thu Aug 04, 2005 4:49 pm

Then how did Sit come up with the idea to mail you Crazy

i have no idea :D

.why don't you hack my computer (like I'm sure some of the NLSC members already have)

to X------->>>>>>atleast i know where you lived and your computer specs
  stay sharp my friend
j/k
the truth will free the SIT

As long as a man knows very well the strength and weaknesses of his teaching, his art, his religion, its power is still slight. The pupil and apostle who, blinded by the authority of the master and by the piety he feels toward him, pays no attention to the weaknesses of a teaching, a religion, and soon usually has for that reason more power than the master.

Typical Nietzsche. A man's power is not derived from the ethicality of his teachings, nor from its strengths or weaknesses. Merely from the sheer power of his convinction and dedication to it.

It is true, there could be a metaphysical world; the absolute possibility of it is hardly to be disputed. We behold all things through the human head and cannot cut off this head

True. Each man is his own world, and that very world depends solely on individual perception. That's where the whole 'Beyong Good and Evil' concept was born.

hitherto we have been permitted to seek beauty only in the morally good - a fact which sufficiently accounts for our having found so little of it and having had to seek about for imaginary beauties without backbone!

Ah, my point exactly. The key point here is thet morals, when used in Nietzsche's texts, is a subjective term, and not the usually widely accepted moral and ethical eticquette. Morally good refers to each man as an individual and a special world of his own, no better or worse than enyone else, merely different. And each man's chase for his own chimera, his own moral pedestal, defines his actions.

Let's not base the foundation of the argument on wildy disputed ideas on where and when a personality is set. Or how it is developed. To put the choice before the person is to relieve the person of any responsibility. And therefore a shortcut to absolve guilt.

Not that extreme, friend, not that extreme... I merely pointed out that man has far less control over the shaping of his personality than he would desire. he is often found in front of situation in which his decisions and path making are inevitably pre set. The problem is that even he cannot see that and basks in his 'freedom of will' and 'majesty of free choice'. Which is a stretch, but still is far from the 'total independence' and 'karmic guarantee' extremes.

Also, the fact that you, a married adult lawyer expecting twins, would go as far as try to attack someone's computer in some way over an internet dispute from a forum you had supposedly been "retired" from seems incredibly absurd to me (and from the looks of it, I'm not the only one).

seems to me are the key words here. I would go to all lengths and extremes to protect my sovereignty, and I will not shy away from that. The fact that you associate a 'label' behavior to a 'family man expecting kids' in indeed a first sign of lawyer thinking.

And one last thing from my storybook of a post, I doubt anyone would take a seemingly "friendly" joke without offense when you use the smiley so much. It just looks like some cocky motherfucker with a British accent saying "Come get some, bitch". Well, I guess maybe that's my inner monologue, but I wanted to clear that up.

A 'wink and smile' smilie would be the perfect fit for me and my personality in this forum, instead of just teh wink one. British cocky mf saying "Come get some, bitch"? Yup, that's me all right...

Did you mail people asking them to put "Supports Dweaver" in their name/sig?

Nope.

Regardless, you did contact people to help you "hack" the NLSC.

I only investigated one person's availability and possible inclination to do so. So 'people' is misleading.

leave X out of this, will you... His name does not deserve to get dragged into this in a negative manner. Thank you. (Y)

Oh, I mailed Andrew as well to get him to mail me back formally informing me of my ban the the reasons behind it. I got no response after 3 attempts

I didn't receive any emails from you, only X's PM and by that time Jackal was already lifting the ban. In any case, it was Jackal's responsibility to inform you of the ban, the duration and the reasoning and as far as I was aware, he'd done that.

Thu Aug 04, 2005 8:18 pm

I didn't receive any emails from you

Is the Andrew@NBALive.com your valid mail adress? That's where I sent my mails.

You forgot the "-"

andrew@nba-live.com

Thu Aug 04, 2005 8:30 pm

Mikki's right, it's andrew@nba-live.com. nbalive.com is actually owned by EA Sports.

Thu Aug 04, 2005 8:36 pm

Nope, I did sent the mails there. I actually used the reply option to one of the mails from the site informing of incoming PMs... Don't know what happened, but for the record, here they are:

I'm guessing Jackal's idea of letting thing rest was to ban me...

I sincerely believe you will bring justice back to the forum.

Thank you.

Andrew,

I would like a definitive and formal answer as to what my status on the forums is, coming from your mouth, as I do not trust anyone else to speak representing the entire forum community.

Do please make it as fast as you can, so that I can plan my course of action.

Regards, Makis.(DWeaver)

Hmm, there were two afterall, not three.

Thu Aug 04, 2005 8:41 pm

Then I have no idea why they weren't delivered, as far as I know those reminders and any forum generated emails with andrew@nba-live.com as the sender should find their way to me.

Oh well that makes it all alright then.

Whatever. This is over for me, I have taken all the action I ever needed to take. If anyone wishes to pursue it further, be my guest.

Signing off.

You dealt with your banning in the most mature way possible for a man of your age and position. I applaud you.

 That's what quite a few people have been saying.

Alright so I've been gone for two weeks and I've read this entire thread from page one through five, and I'm sorry, but I still don't get it.

What the fuck is Dweaver doing back here?

I don't care how good of a poster some might regard him as or how much he might (though I don't think he really does) bring to the forum -- this is a series of multiple offenses.

Those who campaigned for his reinstantion are a bunch of fucking hypocrites: Had they been mods, receiving the same (and continuous) threats in such fashion, they would have banned him to. Don't deny it. The only reason you guys put that shit in your sigs was to make noise -- get noticed.

Jackal, I don't think it's your, or anyone's, responsibility to keep everyone on the forum happy. The fact that Dweaver showed failure to obey after receiving a warning or whatever makes him undeserving of this community.

I know that this won't change anything, and I wish that Dweaver could just be a man and take his ass out of here, but I strongly disagree with the decision made by the respective moderator(s) in this issue.

Gloveguy, take a bow :applaud: . That was the best post in the history of nlsc. That and the Michael(Jordan) one in the old forums :proud:.

Wed Aug 10, 2005 4:46 pm

could someone summarise this thread in 3 words/sentences or less.. I'm interested.. but not interested

if u get what I mean..

Wed Aug 10, 2005 4:50 pm

Filip cries

Dweaver threatens Jackal, is banned.

Dweaver returns as a spammer.

Wed Aug 10, 2005 4:59 pm

and the last

everyone's not happy, still like the old days

Wed Aug 10, 2005 6:53 pm

Awesome post Glove, awesome.

I know it isn't my job but given I'm already portrayed as one to bring the NLSC grief most of the time, I figured I'd do SOMETHING "good".

Wed Aug 10, 2005 7:08 pm

everyone's not happy, still like the old days

Who is everyone? I'm happy around here, nothing that's going on is enough to bother me, or enough that it can't be dealt with.

Wed Aug 10, 2005 9:09 pm

Pfft.... :D

Fact is: I'm here, I'm staying, and I'm having fun doing it. End of discussion.

Keep whining all you want, I'm here to stay, and I do not care all that much what some people might think, as long as I maintain the rapport I have vreated here with a few good posters and people overall.

Have a nice day. 8-)

Wed Aug 10, 2005 11:13 pm

You don't really decide if you're "here to stay" or not.

Thu Aug 11, 2005 12:04 am

You don't really decide if you're "here to stay" or not.

Hehe... with certain people around, I guess you have a point there.

Thu Aug 11, 2005 1:25 am

That's the same exact attitude that sent me over the edge in the first place. You place much too much importance on yourself.
