Earlier today, Atlanta Hawk's General Manager, Usher, was on Hawk's TV with host, .LA.
.LA.: Usher, man, how's it hangin' these days?
Whew, man it is going great. The Hawk's have now moved to 2 and 0, the fans are excited, I'm excited, the player's are excited. I think our next game, which will be here in Atlanta, at Phillip's Arena is going to be packed.
.LA.: I couldn't agree more. How you feelin' about the roster?
Usher: Oh I'm very excited about our roster. We are young, and we are athletic. We have tons of potential. And its good to have guys like Tony Delk, and "Goog" and Kevin Willis to provide a little veteren leadership. Our rookie's have been outstanding, and Al has just been phenominal. I'm happy about our roster, but a few changes may have to be made down the line. Time will tell.
.LA.: Well for right now, things seem to be going great. Fans are excited. But some NBA Analysts like Greg Anthony and Stephen A. Smith are doubting Atlanta. They think that the Hawk's have just got lucky and this winning streak won't last. Your thoughts?
Usher: Who knows? I mean, we could just be getting lucky. But I think we are going to continue to show improvement. I think this is the best Hawk team in quite some time, and we may not make it this year, but good things are coming to Atlanta basketball. I promise that.
.LA.: Sounds good to me. Thank you for stopping by Usher, and Hawk fans don't miss us next week, when rookie Josh Smith will join us.

Hawk's Get Clipped!
Clippers: 86 Hawk's: 71
The Hawk's lose a heartbreaking game at home. The Hawk's just could not get it done on the offensive side of the ball, and the Clipper's took advantage. "We couldn't make anything tonight", says Head Coach Mike Woodson. "We played Sloppy out there," he adds. Missing shot after shot, including layups, the Hawk's looked the the Hawk's of old, and all that buzz about them may have died down. Even more suprising was Hawk's Star Al Harrington giving up on his team during the forth quarter. He just stopped trying. Mike Woodson refused to comment on this.
Player Of The Game
Elton Brand grabbed Player Of The Game honor's, picking up 21 Points and 13 Rebounds.

Tough loss against the Clippers. Brand and Maggette really showed up for this game.
Tue Aug 02, 2005 2:23 am
Yeah they did. Elton slammed Dalembert, and don't get me started on the Maggette/Childress matchup,

. Telfair and Livingston had a nice battle going. Their numbers are pretty matched up. Thanks for the reply man

Lol, I can understand that. Thanks for the support against any other team.

Good news is, since Im only doing 29 games, this was the only time you had to root against me.

Trade Talks Arise?!
Atlanta Hawk's general manager, Usher, denies the rumors. But word has spread that the Hawk's are shopping Al Harrington around for a Power Forward. "We are 2-1. Why would I want to trade my top player so soon?" asks Usher. But its no secret that Coach Mike Woodson and all of the Atlanta staff were upset with Al's giving up on his team in their recent game against the Clippers. No names of the who they may be looking to get have come up, in fact Usher still denies that he will be trading Al. "There is always the possibility of trades, but it is so early. I love Al's game, and its not something I want to get rid of. Period. Who knows what will happen down the line, but right now our team is set. We just want to focus on our next game against the Chicago Bulls," says Usher. If Al Harrington were to be traded, who do you think he should be swapped for?
Al Harrington is currently averaging 21.2 PPG and 8.1 RPG this season.

J-Smoove On Hawk's TV
Josh Smith joined host, .LA., on Hawk's TV this afternoon.
.LA.: J, how you doing so far, early into your rookie season?
Josh Smith: Oh man, this is a dream come true. I'm just living a movie, ya' know? Just every minute of every game is just unbelievable. I'm estatic.
.LA.: Well, averaging, 10 PPG, 2.5 APG, 5 RPG, and an amazing 5 SPG, you could easily draw the Rookie Of The Year award.
Josh Smith: I don't know about that, I mean there are so many rookies. We have such a strong class. But me, J-Chill, Bassy, Royal, and Donta just been working together, helping each other out. I mean we got 5 rookies on this team that all, in my mind, play a vital role in our offense. That's huge.
.LA.: No doubt about that. What are your thoughts on the recent rumors of Al Harrington in trade talks?
Josh Smith: Well.. I don't know much about it. Actually I know about the same as you do. Usher has denied them though, so I don't know whats going to happen. I think its a lil' early, though. I mean the numbers are their, Al is explosive. But if a trade happens, it won't be because of the incident in the fourth quarter of the Clipper's game. Because I know Usher knows what a great guy Al is. Al is very supportive of our team, and he wants to succeed with our team. Al has been very helpful to me and Josh Childress. Me and him kind of had the same situation, with both of us coming out of high school. So, I don't really want to see him go, but hey, what can you do? But we are all excited right now, and we are just going to focus on our next game.
.LA.: Ok, sounds good. Well thank you for stopping by Josh, good luck with your rookie season on the Atlanta Hawk's. The next game is at Chicago, don't miss it.

Hawks: 103 ; Bulls: 102
The Hawk's pulled out a strong fourth quarter effort, to pull out the victory at Chicago. The Hawk's were up 103 to 102 with 5 seconds left. Before the Bull's could even take a shot to be perhaps a buzzer beater, rookie point guard, Sebastian Telfair intercepted a pass, to end the Bull's hopes. Every player on our team performed outstanding tonight. I am very proud," He adds.
